My sister, Anita just called that her brother, my step-brother Victor, has passed away. He was found sitting in his chair in his apartment in Springfield, Missouri this morning after succumbing to an apparent heart attack. We went through school and graduated together. He knew the Lord so we'll see him again before long. We'd appreciate any prayers of comfort for his family...

Victor Duane Dickison was born on August 12, 1957 in San Diego, California and departed this life at his home in Springfield, Missouri. He was the son of Wayne and Mary Sue Weaver, and the late Curtis “Duke” Dickison. The family moved back to Missouri when Vic was three years old and he grew up in Mountain View, Missouri where he graduated from Liberty High School. After graduation, he began working in the dairy business and various cattle auctions before moving to Springfield, Missouri. Vic then worked at Mercy Hospital for several years and most recently was employed with Thompson Cadillac until the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his parents, Wayne and Mary Sue Weaver of Mtn. View, MO; four siblings, Mike Dickison (Linda) of Springfield, MO, Anita Weaver of Mtn. View, MO, Jay Weaver (Kristi) of Hollister, MO, and Keith Weaver (Nita) of West Plains, MO; three nephews Brian Weaver (Michele), Kurtis Weaver, and Jeremy Wagner (Heather) all of Springfield, MO; two nieces Ashley (Jason) Tucker of Springfield, MO and Haley (Taylor) Davisson of Ozark, MO; and seven great nieces and nephews. Vic was preceded in death by his father Curtis “Duke” Dickison; and grandparents Minnie Dickison, Nettie and Mitch Carmack, and Arch and Alzada Weaver. Vic was a big fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. He also enjoyed going to his nephews’ sporting events. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View with Pastor Robert Medley officiating. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
