The weather men missed it and Hurricane Michael hit us hard. First of all I want to thank the Lord for my animals. My Dogs were telling me all day long something bad was coming so I listened to them and secured everything out in the yard and on my decks. Got ready!
Next I want to thank the Lord for holding up the 5O Walnut tree that is about 3O feet from the back of my house. With all the trees that came down I know it was Him holding that tree up. Am thankful to my church that had the foresight to change an old bathroom into a place to get a shower...it is where I went to get one. I had to get in line! It was great to have a hot shower and a cup of hot coffee! Thank God for Beth Car Baptist!
But most of all I just give thanks...There was historic flooding, there is damage to roads and bridges, there is damage to homes and businesses...but no injuries and no loss of life in my immediate area...tho there was in the state. We pray for their families.
I give thanks for EMS...fire and rescue...for Law Enforcement, for the Highway Dept. people, and the linemen...and the tree services people...for neighbors and friends helping neighbors and friends...
I thank and praise the Lord!!!

Amen, Marilyn, thankful you received no major damage, but most of all that you and your family are unhurt. Praise the Lord!
