God bless you Duck;
When Grandma Lillis passed away just short of her 94th birthday, she had seen one grandson enter the ministry and another great-grandson just enter Moody in Chicago. As Grandma had been homebound for several years, there had been three preachers since she had fellowshipped at the Cottonwood friends church. My aunts asked if I would conduct the service for Grandma.
I was concerned about composure and bringing the massage with her casket close by, but when I entered the funeral home and viewed the casket for the first time, I knew with a profound assurance that Grandma was not there but had gone home.
There is such a legacy of love and faith which has flowed from one frail little lady with a prayer warrior's heart. This is a 5 generation picture, with my grandmother wearing ear phones as she was hard of hearing. Yours truly, big ugly in the background with my Mom, my daughter Melissa who is very active in children's ministry in her church, and my granddaughter Bethany whose golden blond head went under for the Lord a couple of years ago.

My cousin Sam and I were both wild and crazy when we were young. It took Sam a whole lot of years to finally growup. Last year he was diagnosed with lung cancer from 50 years of smoking.
My Mom called to tell me of the cancer and I posted prayers for Sam's healing and salvation on many sites.
His neice's pastor visited Sam in the hospital, and Sam gave his heart and life to Jesus. While in the hospital Sam witnessed to a woman who was a patient and she came to Christ through Sam's witness. Sam went home to a reunion with Grandma a couple of months later.
Our prayers were answered as Sam came to Christ, touched other hearts for His glory, and Sam was healed when he went Home.
The legacy of 90 years of study in her King James, faithful prayers and walk with the Master, and a sacrament of love in her cookies and cocoa lives on through her children and children's children's children.
