My Dear One Jan is in having tests. She has been fighting pneumonia for the last three weeks, and in Council Grove today she got to feeling really bad and went to the doctor. They are running tests and our eldest daughter Melissa is with her. They have discovered a mass on her lung and are testing if it is from the pneumonia or other. We will know more later. Melissa called from the hospital in tears, and it is so terribly scary for my children and for Jan. Please join me in prayers. God bless you.
Dear Heavenly Father please envelope this precious one with Your awesome love, draw them near, hold them close, and please dear Abba, Father move and minister healing, comfort, Your peace which passes all of our human understanding, a strength for the tests, wisdom for the doctors and caregivers, an ever deepening measure of faith and trust in You, and may Your Comforter Your glorious Holy Spirit well up from within and drive out the overwhelming fear and uncertainty from each precious heart involved, in Jesus' Holy name. Be as close as the very next breath we take or the next beating of our heart. Dear Abba, Father help us in our hour of need, to look up from the darkness of despair and to behold Your glory, and to feel Your comfort envelope and surround us in our most desperate hour of need. In Jesus' name we pray. Thank You Father for Your perfect will and Your eternal and all encompassing love for Your precious children.

Dear ones how truly precious are your prayers, and your hearts for Christ a true and eternal blessing and comfort. There are many photos shared on FaceBook, and my favorites are the wee-children who are praying or looking up in absolute faith and assurance, for they remind me to seek a more childlike faith in our Heavenly Father. We will be going back in Thursday to find out whether we will need a biopsy or if the mass is an impaction from the pneumonia, and can be treated with medicine.
How I wish I could carry this for Jan, how I wish there was something in my physical power to take this away from the one who has given so precious a heart filled with love for the last 40 years, but I can do nothing in my own merits and abilities no matter how strong or talented the hands. I have placed myself and my dear-one into the Hand of our Father, and it is His will which will be done. When Jan got home from the doctor I took her into my arms, kissed her precious brow, and prayed for her. Every time I pass her I say, "Father be with her". His will be done on the earth as it is in Heaven, our eternal Home in Glory.
Matthew 19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
The wee-little child reaches out in total love and complete trust and is taken up in their Daddy's arms. Through the spirit of adoption in Christ we become a child of God, our Heavenly Father, and as His wee-child we can place absolute trust and faith in our Heavenly Father Who has loved us from before the foundation of the earth, Who has each of our hairs individually numbered, Who sacrificed His Own Son for each one of us, because He loves us without measure.
Romans 8: 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Dear Ones all;
How precious are your hearts and walk of faith.
The doctor came in and told us that the results were not good. She drew us a diagram of the results. The mass which the cat scan showed is 5 1/2 centimeters in diameter, (larger than a golf ball), located in the inner left lung adjacent to the heart area, encroaching on the primary airway, and enveloping the primary artery. There is some swelling in the close lymph nodes, and a couple of lesions on the outer lining around the heart. A lung specialist will be coming in to the hospital probably the first Tuesday in November and he has been forwarded the results. He would be the one doing an oral scope to obtain a tissue sample for a biopsy.
My daughter, son, and granddaughter were out in the waiting room and we went to my grandaughter's, sat around her kitchen table, and shared the news. We then joined hands and I led us in prayer. My youngest daughter is in another town and tied up with family and school and work, which makes her feel isolated except through phone and net. We were surrounded by our precious family throughout the afternoon, and then Ally was able to come out last evening. She needed her Daddy's hug and wept in my arms, but was stronger with the results and comforted by being with Mom, Dad and family.
Jan is on an antibiotic which is powerful and this time she is not getting sick from it. Each time I walk by her I am in prayer for her, and she is at the top of my prayer list, and in the hearts and prayers of her family and our Church family around the world. We have placed all of our hearts and needs into God's Hand and He will lead us onward.
God bless each of you so very much, and you are so loved and so deeply appreciated. Your hearts, your prayers, your walk of faith a true blessing to us all.

The great comfort is in knowing that we serve a Great Physician who never makes a mistake. It is a great honor and privilege to be in the center of His will.

God bless each of you so very much, your hearts, your prayers, your love is such a true blessing. We met with the lung doctor at 1:00 PM, Dr. Short from Manhatten. We could not have asked for anyone nicer, and more caring. He walked us through the x-rays and procedure. He called it a squamass cell cancer, which is slow moving and had not yet migrated. The scope/biopsy on Thursday morning at 8:30 will be the confirmation of such. He will then be able to provide us with guidance on how to proceed. He also said that this was the type which responds best to treatment.
If there is something we can do we will do 100%, and if nothing we ourselves can do then it is sure in the Hand of our Heavenly Father, Who holds all of our tomorrows.
Jan is weak and experiencing some pain, but is able to control and rest with Tylenol. We will be working on getting her strong for whatever we need to face. We will face this together. We will not dodge it, deny it, hide it, or run from it. We or going to put on our stomping boots, enter each day on our knees placing our faith and trust in our precious Lord, and we are going to pass through victorious in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Your hearts, your prayers, and your love are a most treasured precious blessing. God bless you each so very much.

God bless you so very much. It is difficult and accompanied by many wet hankies, but also thankfulness and great peace. Jan went Home quietly and peacefully alone sitting on our porch early this morning, but in the very Hand of God, in which we had placed her every day, and in which she placed her faith and trust. She has been healed of the cancer and she has no more pain or sickness to face. In facing death, as we talked about, her only concern was for me and her babies, and what we would have to face. Her heart as always focused upon others. Her legacy of love lives on so strong within each of her precious ones, and is her living memorial.
