Bible Quiz for 07-16-06
During WWII the Nazis identified Russian Jews by the way they pronounced the word for corn, "kookoorooza"
In the Bible some folks did the same thing. They asked the enemy soldiers to pronounce a certain word. If they couldn't say it right they were killed because it was then known they were the enemy.
What is the word?
A clue...it appears only one time in the whole Bible.

The answer is one word and is found only four times in the Bible (Old and New Testament). It works best with the King James Version of the Bible If you think you know the answer send me an pm, and I will respond and let you know the answer IF you are right. Good Luck. Adam, God made out of dust, But thought it best to make me first. So I was made before man, To answer God's most Holy plan. A living Being I became And Adam gave to me my name. I from his presence then withdrew And more of Adam never knew I did my maker's law obey Nor went from it astray. Thousands of miles I go in fear But seldom in earth appear. For purpose wise which God did see, He put a living soul in me. A soul from me God did claim And took from me the soul again. So when from me the soul had fled, I was the same as when first made. And without hands, or feet, or soul I travel on from pole to pole. I labor hard by day and night To fallen men I give first light. Thousands of people, young and old Will by my death great light behold No right or wrong can I conceive The scripture I cannot believe Although my name therein is found Real happiness I'll never see To Heaven I shall never go Or to Hell below. Now, when these lines you slowly read, Go search your Bible with all speed For that my name is written there, I do honestly to you declare. PS. If you know the answer don't give it away, Like I did on the last one Lets see how many can come up with the correct answer!

HELLO MIKE!!!
The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9.
Nita gave the shortest verse in the NT but the shortest verse in the OT is found in Job 3:2 and it says "He said."
Cool questions!
What is the verse in the very middle of the Bible?....that is pretty cool too.

That passage is a favorite of a friend of mines on another forum.
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. (Psalm 118:8)

It is a good verse Omega and it is at the very center of the Bible so the scholars say. Gonna have to take their word for it.

Here's a good one. How early have we any record that the gospel was preached? Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;"
