Too Late
God sent His only Begotten Son to dwell among us, tell us about His Kingdom, and to die for us and as us. Born a baby, when Jesus cried for the first time that night…it was the first time that God’s voice was heard in human form on earth.
Between the books of Malachi and Matthew there was 400 years of silence. God did not speak. Between the Book of Revelation and today there has been silence from Heaven for 2000 years. When the Word of God, Jesus our Lord and Savior, speaks next it will be to utter the Words, ”Come up hither.” Revelation 4:1 It is a call, addressed to His ambassadors, the Church, summoning the Saints both living and dead home.
”For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout…” 1 Timothy 4:16
The naysayers say where is your God? All is going as it always has. The sun rises and sets, the seasons advance, we buy we sell, we marry, we have children and we live just as we always have. Where is this God of yours who you say comes to judge? Where is His wrath? “Show Yourself,” they say to the God of the Universe…and to His people. Then they scoff because He does not appear when they “call Him out” … and they say there is no God.
”The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” Psalm 53:1
Today we see the focus of the world back on a tiny piece of land in the Middle East. We see the powers, ancient enemies of that tiny country, grouping into Geopolitical alliances against the land and the people. It is God’s land and His chosen people. It is the land where the Voice of God was first heard in human form. The return of Jesus is foretold in the Bible and events are going according to the Book. The tiny piece of land is Israel…God’s time piece.
Current events tell many of the faithful that time is running out for the unsaved. Time is running short and we have a job to do. Jesus told us to teach and preach the Gospel to our communities, to our nation and to all the earth. Count the costs though, Jesus told us. It is high but the rewards great. They may not listen but we have a command from the Lord.
Just as it was too late when the Lord told Noah and his family to enter the Ark and sealed the door behind them…it will be too late when the Shout comes calling the saints home…That shout heralds the coming Wrath of God and judgment of the unsaved…
Saddest words in the English language…too late.
Amen.

”The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” Psalm 53:1 I know this might sound silly but.....one of my favorite things to do everyday is look around in my garden.....I see the most beautiful creatures.....flying about.....crawling around.....dashing from one spot to another.....playing, chasing...... .....it could be a robin, a sparrow, a thrush or chickadee....and sometimes it's a humming bird at my honey suckle....it might be a monarch butterfly or a moth....or a red tailed hawk calling to his mate high above the trees and barn.....and cardinals...oh I love them......or a flock of geese heading for the big pond just a few hundred yards away... .....it might be a ladybug, an ant, a walking stick or praying mantis....way too cool...... ......it might be a squirrel or chipmunk ( I love these too)....or a new visitor of late....a woodchuck checking out things.....or a bunny or two hiding again in my black eyed susans..... ...or it could be the koi in my pond....and the frogs that come to visit and take a dip..... and even a deer or 2 if I'm lucky to see them while their quietly eating my daylilies and watching for their mom.... how can anyone look around....and not see God? He's everywhere....this didn't just all "happen"......God made these magnificent creatures.....I for one feel blessed to be able to enjoy them.....I thank my old black labrador, Berry, now passed on.... for teaching me to take the time to watch and enjoy the garden.....she would sit on our front porch for hours just laying there watching the different creatures running and flying about and listening to them.....she was sooo gentle and a blessing....and one of Gods best creations. I feel sorry for the fool....for he know's not what he is missing.

Thanks for posting the link to Jeremiah 13. More often than not that is what happens to us when we try to point out the need for salvation. That passage always occurs to me when we get the backlash for something we have said...some truth from the Bible that people don't want to hear...some reminder that we all need the cleansing blood of Jesus.
I call it Jeremiah and the Dirty Underware Story...the other side of that story is Jeremiah's compelling love of God and great desire to obey Him even though it means wearing dirty underware and marching down the street in them...
His message was from God...He said to tell the people..."You are no better than this underware."
Thanks for the beautiful description of your yard and all the activity...I remember you talking about Berry and know how much you miss Berry...just as much as I miss my Duck...I hope we will see them again too someday...
