Virgil said I needed to think up a name for J. Patrick Moose's cousin...
Think we will name him "Tank"...as in the fish tank he was cleaning when he cut his arm. Cut goes from just above his wrist to just below his elbow.
"Tank" is still at MCV. There is a staff infection in his arm. They opened the cut back up and are working on the infection each day in surgery...
I feel so sorry for the little guy. Terrible way to spend his summer. He is the same age as my Becks...an active 9 years old.
Please keep him and his family in your prayers...and the Medical staff at MCV. Staff infections can be very bad.

Little update...Tank still at MCV and will be for about 2 more weeks.
They have headed off the staff infection but are still working on his arm. Muscles damage and working to keep the infection from coming back...
Please continue to keep Tank and family in your prayers...

My prayer for Tank. Tell them to cover the wound with Raw-Honey, and keep it covered until the infection is gone. Honey is the only thing known that bacteria cannot develop resistance to, and Honey has about the best anti-biotic known to man in it. and the wounds heal faster.
Of course, convincing a physician that it works better than pills, and shots, is a bit more difficult. (Just a thought)

Little update on Tank...had surgery again yesterday to close up the wound and to graft some skin... Haven't heard how it went. Will probably hear today when I go to take J. Patrick Moose home... Please keep him in your prayers...needless to say Tank is tired of being in the hospital!  |

Hospital stays are no fun. Neither are skin grafts. I'm so sorry, praying for him.

a little good news. They were able to close up some more of the wound without a skin graft...
still has a tube to drain fluid off wound. Tube removed from his chest so he can walk around some...
He is being mighty good for a active 9 year old boy...

I just can't imagine. But then, there probably isn't ever a good time to go through what the tank is enduring.

Update on Tank. He came home on the 4th of July but has to go back every few days to check progress. They grafted skin from his settin' place to his arm.
J. Patrick Moose says he sets funny.
But still...please keep Tank in your prayers...
