My wife was today diagnosed with a probably ovarian cancer. It has spread throughout her abdomen, but has not broken through the upper chest region or any of her organs.
Lord never makes a mistake, and sends his children through trials - but only after a season of preparation.
Appreciate my friends here at DI.

Praying for Aunt Snoopy...and for you Virgil, and your family.
Praying for the medical staff treating Aunt Snoopy.
Lord didn't say we wouldn't experience the trials and tribulations of this life...He did say He would be with us all the way...and that our future with Him is secure.
Grace and peace... In Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord be with your children in this time of trial. Hold them, comfort them and give peace to thier hearts in knowing that You dear Lord hold them in Your hand. Give skill and wisdom to the doctors and nurses who are attending. We know that You are always with us, and when we falter it is then that you carry us.
In Jesus Holy Name we pray, Amen
Surely praying for you both dear brother. Familiar pain and fear, but God will see you both through.

Spent the night at the hospital last night . . . and a straight back leather chair (not recliner) and a regular chair pushed together. I was a sight!
Home now for a couple of hours - they are going to do biopsies today, and the floor nurse said there "could" be some benign lesions. If not, she is likely in stage 3 with a possible 5 year survivability potential.
Hoping for the best knowing that ours is the God of all Comfort who never makes a mistake or does anything wrong.
We know that the worst thing that can happen to any of us is that we might fall asleep in this world and wake up in the presence of Jesus.

Amen Virgil...our worst case scenario is also our best.
But we are alas, just frail humans and go thru the myriad of emotions so inherent to your situation...and to your wife's.
To me it is a comfort to know that Jesus also went thru all those emotions and knows what we are feeling and what we are thinking from personal experience...
You and Aunt Snoopy are in my prayers...praying for the best.

His strength and comfort, be on head, and in heart, As Tribulation guides us, in doing our part, 'As in the day's ...' there can't be a gap, So Satan don't know, he enters God's Trap.
May extra power, and peace, be His gift, Of you who maintain Satan's view of the rift, With smile on your face, and love in your heart, Satan thinks we're crazy, but owns that Starring-part.
Live as if Anointed. You are.

Kindnesses of friends will always make the trials of life not seem so harsh.
We should know by Monday the full facts of this thorn.

One doctor, a family friend, looked at the test results to date and feels very confident that we found it in time and that her survivability should be much better than the usual five years. Of course, at 65 - lasting another five years is a good thing even under normal conditions.
It is always a blessing for a believer to know he/she has lived a good life with many treasures stored up in the bank of heaven. It will be a good thing one day for any of us to say, "We have finished our course!"

Virgil, if the doctors were always right I would have never lived to raise my children much less see my granddaughters. God had other plans for me and He has plans for you and Aunt Snoopy too. His hand is on you both sweetie. None of us here are getting any younger thats for sure but think how awesome it will be when we all get together up there.

Well, bad news . . . and good news. It's treatable and the oncologist believes that her overall health is good enough that she has every reason to believe that she will have at least five years. Chemo won't be very fun, and there might be some surgery involved - but God is still on the throne. From the moment of our conception, He already knows the span of our lives - and it is up to us to find comfort and solace in that.
