Been praying about it a lot...praying it would go away. Praying it won't affect anyone, praying no one will die. Praying for God's protection, His forgiveness...
Praying for toilet paper...and people's panic.
Praying that someone will find a vaccine.
So much to pray for and so little time it seems.
So we stay home, don't touch our faces, and wash hands...
and we pray.
But...on the other hand, there is something so surreal and other worldly about this thing...seems so prophetic in so many ways, like one of the plagues of Egypt, one of the 21 judgments of Revelation, and so many other things straight out of the Bible. Type and shadow of things to come. As strange as it sounds...it is kinda exciting.
So Lord we look to the east and we pray...Amen.
Shhhhhh! Whose footsteps are those I hear?

Christians from all over the world are asking for prayers. Christians from Italy and France are desperately begging us all to pray.
Have had the people of Africa on my mind...haven't heard much about this virus hitting them. It is going to be awful when and if it does. So many people and so much poverty. We all saw what the ebola virus did.
Christians in the United States are asking that we all stop at 8 Central time...I am thinking that is 7EST...bow our heads for 1 minute and pray...
So I plan to join that effort and will pray for us all. Will pray that the Lord will stand up in the Boat in this storm and say...
"peace...be still."
Amen.

I have been praying too Marilyn and was a little hesitant asking for it to be removed because I know God can use it to bring people to repentance, conversion and salvation - all things I pray for daily for family and the world.
Then was praying one of my favorite passages in Lamentations and this line stuck out to me: "It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord." Lam 3:26 (KJV)
And that struck me as the perfect prayer and reaction - hoping, praying, and waiting for God in His perfect timing to bring His salvation, BOTH salvation "from" the virus and the eternal salvation of souls.
I hope & pray you and your families are all doing well during this time.

It is my most very very favorite passage in the entire Bible...and it goes like this,
"This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
For the Lord will not cast off for ever:But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men." Lamentations 3:20-26, 31-33
Peace always falls around my shoulders like a prayer shawl...and a breeze rustles past my face. I know it is the Holy Spirit...calming my soul.
Thanks for reminding me of that passage...
