There are reports the EU is trying to weasel its way into the current conflict in the role of peacekeepers on the Lebanon border. Keith, does this have any (direct) Biblical significance?

The European Union is the 'revived Roman empire' and the organization from which the Antichrist will rise to power and eventually dominate the world. The prophet Daniel, under Holy Spirit inspiration, stated:
"And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined." ( Daniel 9:26 KJV )
1. The "prince that shall come" is the Antichrist. The original Hebrew text uses the word "nawgheed" which means "commander, leader or ruler". Therefore, the term Antichrist is not symbolically or allegorically referring to a 'mind set of evil' or a 'coalition of forces', but an actual human being.
2. The "people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary" is referring to the nationality of the people who destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D., which was the Romans under the leadership of Titus (this was also documented by secular Jewish historian and eyewitness Josephus).
Not since the old Roman Empire of two thousand years ago has Europe been united. But the 'revived Roman Empire' it is now manifesting under the name of the European Union.
Also, I covered in a previous Keith's Comments at Divine Intervention that the EU has publically stated they will be involved with the Israeli peace process...whether Israel wants them to or not.
This EU 'offer' is simply more of the same...

OK, thanks. I was wondering if there was anything that might apply specifically to this situation or if it was just, as you said, more of the same.
I thinking about this statement. There have actually been two other times Europe was united--by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806 and Adolf Hitler in 1940. However, that was by conquest. The EU is the first time Europe has been united by choice.
