Remember Hamza, Virgil. Her name was Mary. She was a similar spirit...beautiful lady. The last time I corresponded with her she was very ill, very strong in the Lord and very courageous. That was about 3 or 4 years ago.
Have you ever heard from her again?
The only other story I have read about Martha is about her baptism. Toward the end of her life she was in such pain that even human touch was hard to endure. She wanted very much to be baptised but taking her to church to be batpised was out of the question. Her husband and her Pastor, who just happened to be J. Vernon McGee, decided to baptise her in the bathtub at her home. She was baptised and a short while later went Home to join the Lord.

I remember Hamza, but no, I've not heard from her or seen her online since. I agree, she had a sweet spirit in the Lord - except when it came to heretics. I do have a vague memory of her tearing into one of them.

I did see a Mary Hamza listed on facebook, but don't know if it is her. One has to request to become a friend before being allowed to find out much.

I don't think Hamza was her last name, just a screen name. Had something to do with her grandchildren.
All of us from time to time have a formatable nature when it comes to heritics, I think...it is very hard not to fire back. Especially when it is coming from inside the church.

God gave Martha a life of pain, but with such a purpose in her life that she became a blessing to all who read her legacy of poems.
I often think of people that are sick and yet they serve God in whatever way they can. I am sure these people, if asked, would say that they do not wish to be healed of their sickness if it is from God, and it is the reason that they are serving Him. I imagine foks that are in very good health often miss out on opportunities to do a special work for God because they are so busy about the things of the world.
Martha is a special blessing to others who are themselves sick.
