Please keep my dad in prayer. I talked with my brother and sister last night and they took my dad to the emergency room for some blood tests and they found out that he was short on blood. In fact my brother said that the Dr said the human body holds 5 pints of blood and my dad needed to have 4 pints pumped into him. they said that the Dr thinks he is bleeding internally somewhere but that they would have to do a colonoscopy or other exploritory things and that ussually in the situations like this they would not pump blood into the person but dad had been doing well so that's why they are doing that but we decided not to have any of the exploring stuff done as of yet. We know it is the cancer eating him up so my brother said that after they get done pumping the blood into him sometime today and he talks with dad's regular Dr he will most likely just take dad back home and just keep waiting to see when the Lord is gonna bring dad home. I'm not sure if we are going up there this weekend until I talk with my brother or sister later today. It's been 6 months now and the one Dr said dad wouldn't last 2 or 3 so we feel blessed the Lord has given us this extra time with dad. We are teaching the children's Church tomorrow so we need prayer that if we stay here the Lord gives us the strength to do that.
thanks and God bless

Now ya gotta follow me on this one Red. I have a string of little yellow Ducks dancing on top of my computer that Kayla made and sent. Was loggin' in and kept gettin' it wrong. I finally looked closer and instead of Duck I was typin' Ducks...a reminder from the Lord to get your e-mail address again...ole Duck lost it...re-send please...I got something to send Kayla...
You and your family are always in my prayers Red, and the little Ducks are always dancing on the top of my computer.
Your Dad will soon be home, and the children still have a ways to go, Lord willin'. Teach the children...or as Jesus put it, "feed my lambs." When we look into their faces we see little bits of the Kingdom...dancing in our eyes...
Amen?
Love ya Red and Diana...
Duck

They gave him the 4 pints of blood and it raised his count to 9. something my brother talked him into letting them go down his throut with a scope and they are doing that this morning so diana and me are heading up there this morning. I talked with my brother last night and they decided to give him another 2 pints of blood just to be safe. hopefully dad will be discharged from the hospital today sometime. I guess it is just still a waiting game right now. I will update later today or tomorrow.
thanks for the prayers and God bless

Well they did the scoping and didn't find any bleeding in his stomache area. He got released from the hospital Sunday. They took his blood count tuesday and it had dropped a little bit from 12.3 to 11.9 but nothing major so far. They said if it dropped fast then they would have to do a colonoscopy but in doing so he would run the risk that because of the cancer that if they tore the lining of his colon then it would be lights out. So right now we are just sitting and waiting. A home nurse is going to take his blood count again on monday.
So yesterday I took diana to the DR and she has a virus of some kind that has been going around and there is no antibiotic for it yet so she just has to let it run its course and this virus is on top of the cold she already has.
so we are having all kinds of fun plus i am still doing my college courses and working and driving the church van and going with my pastor to witness.
prayers are greatly appreciated.
God bless

Just figured I would give yall an update on dad.
he is with us right now for a couple days and we can tell he is slowly fading. his speach is slow and quiet and at times slurred more than ussual. He was awake almost every hour on the hour last night.
He still isn't feeling any pain that he is saying anyway so the Lord has given him mercy so far on that.
that's about it for now.
God bless

sometimes it is time to mourn, Red...it is like saying a long goodbye... sometimes the grief and saddness is a heavy load...Did you know God keeps all our tears in a bottle? I think you are the one who told me that long time ago.
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you"1 Peter 5:7.
"Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away." Isaiah 51:11

I talked with my brother again today and dad went from using the walker to a wheelchair. it seems he can't even walk any more because of the weakness and needs to be fed because of his hands shaking. We are going up there again tomorrow well we have been every weekend for about a month now. he has a dr appointment tomorrow also so who knows.

Oh Bill, please know that our prayers are with you dear brother. If I lived nearer I could hold you up during these times, so I've asked our Lord to in my stead, and we know that He will and He does.
Prayers are being sent to Father...

Bill,
You have been on my mind lately. Lord has a way of doing that...guess it is because we are all one in Him so we seem to know. I have been praying extra hard for you and for your Dad.
