Got a story to tell. May not seem important to some but it is to me. It is about my hometown. It is about prayer and combat...Lord's style. In my quiet little community nestled here among the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southside Virginia there has been quite a battle going on. There is a community Messageboard and that is where the war broke out. I pray it will spread into the community as a budding revival.
To make a long story short there is a religion section and the Christians started witnessing. We posted scripture and devotionals and many other things of interest, we thought, to the community. This eventually drew out the usual amount of scoffers and unsaved. Many of you have seen it before and before long it was the Christians vs. the heathens in mortal combat. The spiritual battle raged on for several weeks and got heated and intense.
We stuck together and took our stand. We whielded the mighty Sword of the Lord quoting Scripture at every turn. But alas we seemed to be losing ground...we prayed, but all seemed to be lost...we prepared to leave. But wait!
We were vocal and others were pming the moderators like crazy. Lord prevailed and now there is a new Christian Forum...with a local Pastor as moderator! Good man and man of God and Baptist to boot! Lord heard our prayers and answered.
We have all learned much over the years of doing battle for the Lord in cyber space and I used evey bit of what I learned. It is one thing to type at a screen behind which sit people you don't know and will never see...
It is quite another to do spiritual battle when you know the people and some you see everyday. It brings things to a very personal level...I pray what we did will be fruitful and remain fruitful and is glorifying to the Lord...there is much work to do. In fact it is just beginning.
I pray the Lord will use us and that MB and the Christian Forum to His service and Glory...
I pray this with all my heart and in Jesus name,
Amen.
