Sometimes we can get down and blue. Problems in this world have a way of piling up and multiplying. I had just such a week about a week ago. Things seemed to go from bad to worse. I went for a little walk, and said a little prayer. “Where are you Father? I need to know that you are here with me,” is what I was praying.
I saw something flutter, a piece of paper with writing on it, and looked down in the street and this is what I saw…
“The Perfect Way”
”God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.” 2 Samuel 22:33
You are like an army, Lord, surrounding me with Your strength and power—an army that cannot be defeated. I don’t have to depend on my limited might or abilities. You will watch over me.
In these days of wars and fighting, even my children notice the uncertainty around us. When they become fearful, I can tell them how You are mightier than any army. You care for us and will be there when we need You.
In the times when I doubt, Lord remind me of this verse. Bring it to my memory when I am afraid. Teach me to draw on Your strength and fly above the storm so I can teach the same to my children.
Thank You, Jesus

Sometimes the answer to our prayers takes time, but this time the answer to my little prayer was instant. I have no idea how that piece of paper came to be in the street or why the wind fluttered just when it did so I would notice the small piece of paper on which this was written. But I suspect very strongly it was the Lord saying, “I am here Duck, and I will teach you to fly as on the wings of eagles.”
Amen.
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. " Isaiah 40:31
