Shalom, one and all. I enjoy Praising in Rhyme, so this is the start of a Praise and Poetry Thread, of which this be the first. When I post additional poetry, it will be as a 'reply' to the last post on the Thread. (Don't want to lose track of where everything is). I hope you enjoy what I offer. Should you wish to copy and past, or send to friends, feel free to do so, as what I author belongs to Messiah, Jesus/God. I do, however forbid any 'commercial' application of my works (cheapens Jesus' name). The Watchman's Call by Arley Steinhour 111310 Yell it from the Roof-tops, at the corner of the street, Nicely yell the warning, to everyone you meet. God is getting angry, and wrath will fill His face. No matter how fast a nation runs, it cannot win the race. The Faithful know the ending, the unsaved never hear, refuse to hear the warning, and just order another beer. Don't ignore the warnings, the Bible speak quite clear, it only speaks of wrath, to those who will not hear. So, Yell it from the Roof-tops, at the corner of the street, Nicely yell the warning, to everyone you meet. The Bride of Christ is ready, await the patter of His Feet, as He comes to snatch away His Bride, time is full, complete. The Tribulation's waiting, just around the bend, Seven short years later, will bring the Era's end. Yes, Yell it from the Roof-tops, at the corner of the street, Nicely yell the warning, to everyone you meet. The lamps are trimmed, and wick is lit, Bride's expectant be, To welcome Royal Bridegroom, to make us Family. AMEN

When am I Going? (to music of Paint your Wagons Where am I goin) By Arley Steinhour 112310
Got a Prayer boy, Got a Song, Gotta sing it, till He comes along:
When is He coming, I dont know, How do I get there, I aint certain, All I know, is Ill be on my way.
How many people, in the flight, How many Angels, there to help us, Only know that He will do it right.
So, Repent folks, sing this song, Grab your halo, come along.
All we know is, well be flying, Jesus calls us, faith-ful, true, Only Reborn lifts into the sky.
Hes a coming, Jesus Christ, When He Snatches, Life eternal. We will spend eternity with Him.
Shine your Halo, nice and bright, Could be coming, yet tonight.
Hes so sneaky, like a thief, Hell sneak up, if you arent watching, Casper couldnt scare you more than that.
So Repent now, come on board, Be with us when, we meet the Lord
(slowly) When is He coming, I dont know, How do I get there, Cant remember, All I know, is Ill be there and gone.
Oh-Yeah!!

Ultimate Director By Arley Steinhour 111710
Have you ever heard a violin, Stradivarius, let's say, Focused only on it's sound, and not the notes it play?
If, Yes, then you be soundly blessed, If, No, appreciation be at rest, at best.
I speak not about the melody, good or bad, no care, It's the quality of instrument, and the one who fingers there.
The Stradivarius, is Planet Earth, and the maestro, God, must be, The music be the happenings, natural or man made, you see.
Lips and fingers, warmed up, in the Pit for Orchestra, That shall softly accompany, Maestro's play, of Turkey in the Straw.
The seats are packed with people, plus many standing in a crowd, The population, of Planet Earth, attends and be quite loud.
Crowd noise of Idol chatter reins, yelling ore every person near, No one hears baton rap, nor Maestro's play, wax on mortal ear.
Slowly, crowd does quiet down, to hear what's left to play, Hear what Maestro's finger work, makes Stradivarius say.
Audience, still, as can be, note score, to which they sway, The music of the 'masters' ain't not being played today.
Searching deep within their brains, some recognize the play, Panic, pure panic, fills their eyes, as they cry and say;
The Maestro isn't who we thought, a Fake today does play, God does now manipulate, the unsaved, who've gone astray.
Most will sit, stand, and sway, as if Maestro stage belong, Some eyes focus on Conductor, not noticed by the throng.
Those few, who even notice, become the 'Chosen,' last of all, They lovingly do cast their gaze upon, Conductor before the fall.
Some how, in the twinkling, of any mortal eye, Those few do cease to be, disappear into the sky.
The remnant of the Bride they be, last Rapture by the Groom, The sheep and goats directed, left and right, through God's Anti-room.
The maestro starts to take a bow, but there's no body there, Arc-Angel, name of Mi-cha-el, grabs maestro by the hair.
Chained and bound securely, maestro-Satan locked away, Not to return and bother man, for a thousand years of day.
The Word of God, takes control, of Planet Earth that day, To Rule, with Law, and Iron Rod, cleaning final dross away.
Once a thousand years pass, God frees Satan again to lure, Every soul, on Planet Earth, who still would be impure.
The war that comes is very short, allowed by God, depend, They raise arms to fight a fight, HE speaks A word: The End.
Judgment takes a little time, all souls meet their fate, Every soul will bend a knee, to worship God, some Too Late.
Those Faithful to Messiah, will have Eternity To Live before our God, Jesus, and ever more be FREE.
AMEN

Imagined First Thanksgiving By Arley Steinhour 112410
There was a mighty hunter, they called him Pilgrim Dan, Who’s deadly aim, with musket, helped keep fresh meat in the pan.
The Pilgrim folk had been here almost a year to date, Half had died, starved to death, they arrived in year too late.
Between the game that Dan could shoot, and Indian charity, They praised God, that half of them, alive, and free, still be.
The Indians were invited, bringing Maze, and Roots, to cook, Dan and others went out, to put meat in the kettle, on the hook.
The weather, cold, and windy, did make the hunt, a problem be, Ever so often, all the men had to warm their hands behind a tree.
The icy wind cut deeply, the hunters clean down to the bone, And not a deer or antelope did want to grace the hunters home.
The day began to wear on, cold fingers no more felt pain, The fear was that the dinner would consist of only grain.
Some turned back to safety, and some warmth within their house, As, finally only one remained, Pilgrim Dan, and his pet mouse.
He checked his musket regular, to make sure that it was dry, Nothing is much more frustrating, than fail a shot as Stagg goes by.
By the time the sun sat low, and began to hide behind the trees, Pilgrim Dan gave up the hunt, headed home, for safety from the freeze.
The route he followed was the same, that he had hunted out, And Dan was not alert to hunt, mind too cold to look about.
A silent prayer, formed in Dan’s heart, he’d stayed out way too late, In every dangers likelihood, Pilgrim Dan today would meet his fate.
Off to the left, some distance far, a Stagg did show an antler, Adrenalin and hunger, warmed Dan’s heart and trigger finger.
Dan wondered how he’d manage, to drag the big Stagg home, He knew that even if he shot, he and the Stagg would die alone.
About twenty feet from Dan did chirp, the gobble of a Turkey, Dan knew that he’d get Turkey home, and forgoing the deer jerky.
Pilgrim Dan, his aim held true, and he made history that day, Or on Thanksgiving we’d eat Deer Jerky, and not Turkey gone astray.
So now you know the story, about the first Thanksgiving day, And once filled up on bird, and grub, Thank God the Turkey way.
PRAY

Chanukah Prayer By Arley Steinhour 120210 Chanukah has started the Jerusalem Jewish way, Bless Israel and Jerusalem the Jewish way today. Lift the veil, so that they know, You died so each can be, Every one accepting you, present, past, future, be Sin-free. Price paid 2,000 years ago, You hung and suffered on that tree, I fail to understand how, Dear Lord, any would turn away from thee. For them, not only did you die, You also died for me, You came to Earth, to take on a life, of perfect mortality; So you could pay the price I couldn’t, that is what I see, Only you can see us as perfect, blood cleansed, and family. And yet, so many walk away, shrugging shoulder at your Grace, The eternal life, they celebrate, will not be before your face. Dear Lord God, that is so sad, and so eternal true, Torment is the other, if they walk away from you. AMEN

Inspiration from Brian by Arley Steinhour 120210
If you want to be enthralled eternal, Just fall in Love with God Supernal.
Ask for His Forgiveness flood, He does it with a drop of Blood.
Your sins are washed away from sight, Then you are clean, for him just right.
To turn away, you make the other choice, And once in Torment, you have no voice;
No voice to ask for forgiveness as Gift, In flaming Torment, from God, Great Rift.
AMEN

The Day, Right Way By Arley Steinhour 120610
On Christmas day we should celebrate a very special way, The Birth of Christ Jesus, Emanuel, on that very special Day.
God took on our mortality, to live a perfect life, to pay a price for our sin, so we won't suffer Eternal Strife.
Forget gifts that we can give, nothing matches what he gifted, He purchased our eternal Souls, when on the Cross was lifted.
Let songs of Praise, and Worship flow, into the crisp night air, when we celebrate His gift, Repent, so we'll all be there.
AMEN Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, the little Lord Jesus, for us, laid His Head. A lowly beginning in His mortality, to pay the price that we couldn't, so we eternaly live free.

Hugs of Love by Arley Steinhour 061410
Song's of Praise, Hug's of Love, Blessed by Jesus, from Above;
That I may send them all to you, so you can smile the whole day through. Some day, some way, He comes for us, With Royal Shout, and Trumpet true.
The timing is the important part, Perhaps today, or yet tomorrow; Our expectation all aglow, Our wait for him can hold no sorrow.
Smiling brightly, eyes aglow, We search the skies for Him; Bright as day, or dark as night, Hearts feel bright with just a Hymn.
Spread the word, that Jesus Loves, He wants us one and all; He doesn't want to leave one behind, Yes He loves even those who Fall
So Keep the Watch, as He draws nigh, behind white cloud, up in the sky;
AMEN
Christmas time, or any time, A Hug from Jesus is so Fine, So many folk, but no waiting line. So step right up, and pass through, He waits for me, and waits for you.

Re-entry of what should have been the post that I hope has been deleted, above this one:
Oy-De-Oy-De-Ooooo. With all that food, I gained three pounds just reading my way to the end. Is that any way to treat an OFU?? (Old, Fat, Ugly) ;D
Praising God is so much fun, when it overflows to you, I am a band, or choir of size, when I praise my God so true.
This morning in my prayer time with God, I asked if I get through, and then I come to Devinne Intervention, and my face isn't blue.
Red would be a color bright, as I sit here and thank you, and until He comes to Snatch away, I'll share my feelings true.
So as I close this thank you note, I say to Lad and Lass, May your days be bright, and night sleep tight especially Christmas.
Merry Christmas to one and all, especially: Y'All AMEN
