With over a million people displaced in that region, Christian groups are working to meet the needs of people displaced from their homes. Please pray that as they minister to the needs of these people, hearts and minds are turned toward Jesus Christ! Here is a good story on some of the work, and following are a few quotes from the article: More than 1 million people – a quarter of Lebanon’s population – are displaced after three weeks of bitter fighting, prompting greater concern and action from Christian groups ... ... Campus Crusade for Christ ... has responded by going to the schools and centers sheltering displaced people to minister and care for them. Basic needs were also provided for more than 1,500 people, although the staff acknowledged the need is “much more.” ... ... In Sidon, Lebanon and in Akko, Israel, Operation Blessing International is working to deliver food packages and other needed items.

The Muslims hate proselytizing more than they love their own lives. An event in Afghanistan confirms this notion...
I don't know, Keith -- the quotes from the article are from Christians already there, already responding. This one in particular: "Campus Crusade for Christ ... has responded by going to the schools and centers sheltering displaced people to minister and care for them. Basic needs were also provided for more than 1,500 people, although the staff acknowledged the need is “much more.” ..." I think it's really important to pray for our brothers and sisters and for the work they are trying to do in His service. In a related article, Lebanese Baptists are asking for prayer as well. That story can be read here and says in part: "... Baptists in Lebanon called on fellow believers around the world to pray for peace in their region as Israeli jets reportedly launched an air assault on 70 targets in southern Lebanon and Hezbollah’s Beirut stronghold overnight. Nabil Costa (Beirut), director of the Baptist-allied Lebanese Society for Education and Social Development (LSESD), condemned the violence. “Innocent civilians have lost their lives and considerable destruction of the country’s infrastructure has occurred,” he said. According to Costa, Baptists from Atlanta, Georgia, and Forney, Texas, are among some of the foreign Christian workers who have remained in the area despite Israel’s bombing campaign. Costa voiced his hope that “God might intervene and give wisdom to the powers that be that they might seek long-term peaceful solutions”. He also expressed the concern that the world would forget about Lebanon. “Yet we as Christians should seek our Father's intervention, for our Father who is in heaven listens to our prayers,” Costa stated...
