Just thought I'd drop by the porch and sit for a spell. Brought a fresh brewed pitcher of peach tea and some brownies. Anyone care for some?

Believe I will join you Sylvia, if you don't mind...and have some tea and one of those brownies...
That's one of the nice things about old friends. We can rock for a while, sip tea, eat brownies and not say a word...it is good to be among old friends...

And our oldest friend...............Jesus of course, even when we didn't know it. Maybe just one more brownie before I have to run to a meeting. ;D

Hmmmmmmmmm been a long long week. Satan has been pounding on me but I find rest in my Lord. Thank you all for this board and for being who you are. I come here and read and it just sets my soul at peace to know that I have so many wonderful brothers and sisters. And we all march side by side in the service of a wonderful, incredible, awesome God.
I do beleive I'll just sit a spell on the porch swing. Of course I brougth refreshies. Some nice fresh lemonade and my double chocolate chunk cookies. Just listen to those crickets and the fireflies are better than any fireworks. Isn't God AWESOME?

I was enjoying the thoughts of the front porch fellowship, however, I have never tried 'peach' tea. I am sure , though, that it tis a real treat! Then you hauled off and had to mention BROWNIES..... and.... CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES!!! I had to call Mrs. DB and ask her to fix me up a whopping size lunch to cover the hunger pains generated by the mere mention of such delacacies.... Ya'll keep that talk up, and Duck, my family, and I might have to take a trip to FL. and pick up the Keefer, Caretaker, and whosoever will, may ransack the vittles on the front porch!!! DB.

I was enjoying the thoughts of the front porch fellowship, however, I have never tried 'peach' tea. One of the best iced drinks you'll ever wrap yer' lips around! ;D We used to get Crystal Lite brand, but Nita's brother turned us on to Wal-Mart's generic. We buy "Great Value Sugar Free Iced Tea With Peach". It comes in little tubs in a tall tube, and makes two quarts per tub, just like Crystal Lite, but for less than half the price. And we can't tell any difference in flavor. A tall glass of this with a Spam-burger and Keifer's all set! Mmm, p-e-a-c--h-y... ;D

but woooo back just a minute...
I also get the Wal-Mart generic brand but I like the orange sunrise drink...
also I like the cranberry tea...same brand and very good...
I like to take my brownies and slice a piece in half and put a square of vanilla ice cream in between. Then I like to take a can of Hersheys chocolate...heat it a bit...and douse the whole affair with it...top it with cool whip and a cherry...
and there goes the diet...

And there will be a tree there that will bear 12 different kinds of fruit! A different kind each month...can't wait to see and taste all twelve! Bet they will make grand cobblers...
We used to talk about the Lord having a duck pond in Heaven for all of us...maybe there will be a house like Caretaker's with a great settin' porch where we can all gather and talk...
or just sit and swing and enjoy being in the company of the Lord and each other.
Sometimes it is hard to believe that it will really happen and then you see a beautiful sunset and know that just beyond that is Heaven and it is even more glorious than that sunset...
eye hath not seen nor ear heard...
yep even more glorious than that sunset...

Been traveling on the west coast all week on business. Thought I'd just plop on the porch for a bit. It's just terrible travelling nowadays. I'm so glad to be home. Wanted to drop by and drop off this peach cobbler and homemade ice cream and see if anyone would like some...........

Yep. Too bad you can't take into the court room with you. Judge used to not like it when I did that. Said it made his gavel sticky. ;D To which I'd reply: RECESS!!!
