Dayside on FoxNews may be going to discuss the destruction of Damascus prophecy in Isaiah 17 shortly...

Shoot! Wish I wasn't at work (don't worry I'm currently at lunch but headed for a meeting). Can someone give us a link if they put out a written version?

Fox usually has the video available online a couple of hours after air. I'll post it if so...

Well, I apologize Sylvia. I guess I misunderstood the 'tease' they gave at the beginning of the show. The interview was actually about whether the Koran gives a date as to the appearance of the Islamic Mahdi and the beginning of Armegeddon.
Nothing to do with Damascus at all, sorry...

I wish that I could watch the news at work, rather than have to check the net all day

They had Muslim on who talked of what the Koran says: That Jesus will return at Armageddon and join with Mahdi in world war. This was all in reference to Iran's continuing effort to develop nuclear capability, which was the primary focus of the discussion...

Have the Muslims ever thought it was time for the return of Mahdi during past middle east altercations?

Have the Muslims ever thought it was time for the return of Mahdi during past middle east altercations? I think the difference is in the regime in Iran, fanatical Shias'. I don't know what the Sunni's position is on this mahdi's return. From what I've read in the past few days this current leader is a lot different than others, and considering that Shia's are mostly in Iran and Iraq. He, the iranian pres., believes that they will hasten the return of this mahdi by launching the world into chaos and that he has some type of divine calling, through visions etc. to do this. I've had many discussions with Muslims I know in NYC, Sunnis, and this topic has never come up.
