I wanted to start a discussion of what God wants us to say and do during these uncertain times.
I received official notification that my insurance company (a veterinary only plan, backed by a larger insurance company), is ending their business as of December 31, 2013. I have no current hope of other coverage. Government plan(s), here I come.
The new director of a local hospital was the speaker at our Rotary meeting today. A nice man with a soothing voice, describing how the new regulations are changing. For instance: Medicare will only cover the expenses for 4 medications, even if you need 8 medicines; Medicare will not cover any claims resulting from any disease or problem you get from a hospital (MRSA, etc.). Health care plans will be based on what are called "tiers" of care. You will only receive the amount of care in your plan. These plans will not provide special care, like coverage of rabies vaccines (I asked). Talk about a bleak picture!!!! I don't know how anyone with serious diseases such as Keith and BBB cope with the upcoming health care changes.
I know there are many people out there looking for answers. Any suggestions?
(Philippians 4:13) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I like this verse, except I have problems keeping my mind focused with everything going on around me:
(Philippians 4:8) Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.

I don't worry about events like this Donna, because I can't do anything about them anyway. I've learned to turn these situations over to the Lord and He ALWAYS handles them. The more you trust Him in these things the more you'll find out how He always works them out for our benefit.
Please rely on these Scriptures during such times:
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:31-33)

I agree with Keith, Donna...tho sometimes I have trouble with patience.
But time and time again...things work out. Not always like we want but I have to trust always for the best.

Thank you both. There is a difference, in my life, between what I know and the way I act toward God. I don't like to admit it, but it is true. I have a hard time focusing on God.
I have a verse posted on my desk. Keith had posted it in another discussion.
(Psalms 33:22) Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
It reminds me to pray, ask God for anything I need, and then to depend upon Him to give me what I need.
