I don't even know how to pray about this. I have a dear friend who is gay. He and I have had many conversations about his lifestyle and God. Through him I know another man who has been HIV positive for over a decade. He maintained on medication and although I don't agree with the lifestyle he led I do like Carl as a person. He was truly a kind and caring person. But for some reason about 9 months ago he quit taking all his medications and just seemed to give up on life. He wouldn't talk with anyone and withdrew. When Randy would question him he lied and said he was still taking all his meds.
Well long story short, he now has dementia from the virus moving to his brain and they have given him 2 months to live. Randy is of course devestated and I don't know how to comfort him. He keeps saying "When Carl gets to heaven it will all be ok, God will make him whole"
Help me guys.....what do I say or do. It's too late for Carl, I don't think he has enough mind left to even make a decision. Of course only God knows for sure. But how do I comfort Randy and what do I say. How can I turn this to a chance for Randy to save his soul?
Help me dear Lord for I don't know what to do.

Sylvia you never bring us a simple problem...
In the case you are describing the only real help would be prayer for those two men.

Well darling it seems that God has not given me a simple life. I'm praying but I find myself stumbling. I don't know how to pray about this. We all sin and try our best to live correctly and ask God's forgiveness. But I would like to be able to turn this to an opportunity to witness to Randy. But I can't exactly say to Randy "God is not going to heal Carl when he gets to heaven because he's not going to heaven. He's going to hell because he never repented and never asked Christ into his life". At the same time I can't lie and say "Yes it will all be better when he gets to heaven". But I would love to have Randy with me in heaven and it's not too late for him.
No easy answers................. God need Your help here. You are the only One who can do anything with this.

"Truth will make you free...If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8
that is what came to my mind Sylvia...
The only son of a friend of mine committed suicide and few years back and she asked me if she would ever see her son again. I told her the truth...if he is saved you will see him again. I didn't pull a punch. I told her the truth.
She said... then I will never see him again. It was one of the saddest things to hear...point I am lamely trying to make is that I told her the truth...even tho it hurt.
Those 2 guys need to hear the truth...they, if not saved are bound for Hell. If they were saved they would reject the urge to practice a homosexual life...If you lose a friend over it...then you lose a friend, but you tried. If you get thru than we all thru Jesus...gain a brother!

I've been working on this with Randy for a long time. He goes back and forth. He'll back off and remain celibate and then backslide. This is just so difficult this time. I'm meeting him later and you have only confirmed what I already knew. I have to just be truthful with him. It may be too late for Carl but not for him. Sad but true, Carl will now burn for eternity. What a horrible waste.
