Seems as we get older this happens more and more. But this one was avoidable. A while back I asked for prayers for a friend who is a chronic alcoholic.
He learned yesterday that another friend of ours died a couple of weeks ago of an overdose...cocaine.
This is why you seldom see and old drug addict...was suprised to heard of Don's death...but not suprised it was an od...
Prayers for his family. They didn't even bother to publish an obituary...
Very sad indeed...took Don's death to push home a message to our other alcoholic friend...to addiction there are 3 possible outcomes...insanity and death, or recovery. Jesus is the Great Physician...He can fix anything!
Please say a little prayer for my other living friend...so far he is staying clean but without going the rest of the way there is another relapse in his future...
I always say...got another relapse but do you have another recovery?

So so sorry dear sister. I'll pray for his family, this must be so very hard for them. Recovery is hard and a lifelong battle. I will be praying for Don, that he stays clean and with the Lord. Shalom dear sister.

Don is the dead one Sylvia...it is the living one I have concerns for.
Has to be hard for Don's family, but it looks like they buried him a long time ago...long before he actually died.
There is still hope for the one still living but I could knock him into the next county if he doesn't get the lesson in this for him...

Sorry for the mix up but even sorrier for his family. It is truly hard when someone pushes you so far as to cut them off. I'll be praying hard for your other friend. Hope he sees the light.

Sorry to hear about the old friend passing away. Will be praying for the other friend.
Jesus is much bigger then any addiction, thing is getting the addict to realize that. All kinds of thoughts and feelings goes running through you when trying to kick an addiction.
