When I think of Memorial Day I think of all the crosses in Arlington National, and all the crosses in the American Cemetary near the site of the D-Day Invasion...and this poem. Thank you isn't nearly enough... In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
The poem reminds us that freedom is not free...
Thank you Lord for all these brave people.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Praise to Jesus, Prayer for those that served, Love for those who tried and died, May we all be Blessed, and Justified.
The world is throwing Freedom away, Soon, the end of Christian sway, Headstones fall, graves open wide, Redeemed, Resurrected, Certified.
AMEN
