Pete my Golden Retriever, is not doing well. He is 13 years old and is having episodes. Vet thinks it may be a brain tumor...
He is on several kinds of meds...this is such a hard time for us when we have furry friends who are so dear and so ill.
I pray the Lord will take the decision from me...I want what is best for Pete.

I am being forced to place Charlie. The family does not want him around due to the sickness in the house (daughter has asthma). So, I'm trying to get him into a no-kill shelter, but they are all filled up and won't even return my calls. Being pressured to put him down . . . a healthy dog . . .
Sad thing is that he is a perfect therapeutic animal and have had folks tell me that they would not have survived their illness except for the nurturing spirit of their pet.
So . . . sigh!

Please pray for my dog Pete. I know he is 13 and getting old. Have been praying for him every day. He has good days and bad days. I am getting ready to go to the beach soon and he can't go because of his age and health. He is going to spend the week with my son and his family. Know full well Lord has it and him, but I worry anyway. He and I, in Pete's entire life, have not been separated that long...and so I worry.
