Reunions see dwindling number of WWII vets Posted on November 11, 2013 DAYTON, Ohio — Paul Young rarely talked about his service during World War II — about the B-25 bomber he piloted, about his 57 missions, about the dangers he faced or the fears he overcame. "Some things you just don’t talk about,” he said. But Susan Frymier had a hunch that if she could journey from Fort Wayne, Ind., with her 92-year-old dad for a reunion of his comrades in the 57th Bomb wing, he would open up. She was right: On a private tour at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force near Dayton, amid fellow veterans of flights over southern Europe and Germany, Young rattled off vivid details of his plane, crewmates, training and some of his most harrowing missions. www.yakimaherald.com/photosandvideos/nationalphotos/1653565-8/reunions-see-dwindling-number-of-wwii-vets

Thank you Lord for all the brave men and women who served and are serving in the military of the Untied States.
Have always thought the 24th Psalm is about Jesus return. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. Psalm 24:8-10
Jesus is no stranger to battle past present or future and it is in His name we pray... Amen
Praise the Lord and pass the ammo!

Amen and amen. I think of all those who went before me and came after me. Including my father who died far too young at 49, broken by what he was exposed to at the start of Viet Nam. My nephew who currently serves and I worry that he is next in harms way. Lord, protect them all and give peace and grace to those who are haunted by what they have seen and what they were forced to do by the evil in this world. Freedom in this world is never free, paid for in blood. Freedom in the next world is also not free, paid for by the most precious blood of all. Blood is always the ultimate sacrifce and thank you Lord that you loved us all this much.

Attachment DeletedI miss my daddy. He was so young here and only 49 when he died. Part of the blood that paid the price for our freedom.

Thanks Keith, and yeah he really was. He was just a baby in that picture and then I think wow I'm already almost 6 years older than he was when he died. I remember now so vividly how a couple of years before he died that he went back to church. And I remember also when he told me that he had made the decision to be baptized and even sent me a picture. I the time I thought "Yeah yeah yeah, right." Because we weren't ever raised with church and I knew nothing about God. Now I'm so grateful because I get to see him again. And I want to tell him how sorry I am that I didn't listen to him then and how grateful I am that he made his decision for Christ. Precious hope and grace that covers us all.
