Have had Keith on my mind a lot today. He just went thru a harrowing experience and is now in a rehab facility...I know he wants to be home and is facing learning to live with a "new normal" in his life...
I don't have MS but am beginning to face what old age is going to mean as I near that time in my life...so can emphasize with Keith tho he is much younger than I am. We come face to face with our infirmities...and no matter what, it is scary...our faith is what we lean on but still...it is scary, and something that looms in the road ahead like a large dark shadow...
Occurs to me that it is the "valley of the shadow of death" that David spoke of.
I am praying for Keith, that the Lord will fill him with His Grace...and give him the strength to go thru this knowing that one day...it will be all over.
I sometimes think maybe that is how the human side of Jesus got thru the horrors of the cross. He knew in one day it would be over...and he could go home...to His Ivory Palaces in Heaven.
So have been thinking about my friend and brother today...and just wanted to let him know that I am praying for him.

My strength and stability are returning at an alarming rate as the diverticulitis leaves my system. The occupational therapist, this morning after her evaluation and assessment, saw no need to see me further. My regular therapist, after strength training and evaluation this afternoon, said she saw no reason to keep me through the weekend. My regular doctors wife, who is a clinician, came by to check on me. After her evaluation and our discussion, she spoke to my regular therapist and they have both agreed there is no need to keep me further past the weekend. So guess what guys? I get to come home Friday!  |

I've been thanking the Lord all afternoon! It's so wonderful to see prayers answered. Also, the process has been started for my new MS medication. I'm no longer going to have to take injections, the new meds are oral!

That is SO awesome. We do serve an awesome God! Thank You Lord for prayers answered and for always taking care of us. So happy you are coming home soon dear brother!

I'm happy to see that you are out of the asylum, and back behind safe walls. How many medical types did you convert?? The hospital hates it when I lay in a sick bed, asking if they that tend my body, has the Greatest in tending Eternity. I pray for your full recovery, so we don't have to train another leader. (smirk)
