To pastor our church?
Your input sought please. But as we ponder this thought, please sit back a spell and look at the church today. It's direction and so called "heritage", then let's apply them to the "pulpit committee"
I have looked at a few things that I would see as disqualifying Jesus for the office of the "pastorate" in churches today - (even the most devout fundamentalist churches!)
1. The man has a beard! 2. He is too young. 3. He does not meet the required seminary degree. 4. He has absolutely no credit line. 5. He has never lived at one place for very long, this proves him to be unreliable. 6. He has a wardrobe of rags! Ghastly - unacceptable! 7. He'll sleep wherever he can. 8. He'll eat with whoever will feed him. 9. Has been seen talking to lewd women. 10. He does not own the first tie! 11. Ha has no reliable means of transportation. 12. He is too offensive, will never be able to bring the heavy tithers. 13. He owns nothing, and borrows everything. 14. has a steady following of about 12. 15. He is involved in the act of casting out demons - too rash! 16. Has been seen beating those who try to raise money in the church. 17. His messages upset the high society so bad they have threatened to kill him repeatedly ( do we want this type of leader?). 18. Has called dear brother so and so a hypocrite! Can you imagine?
You folks see what else you can come up with.........think.

His own family thought He was nuts...said He was beside Himself. And He came from Nazareth...you know, that place. Can any good thing come from there? And He just wouldn't follow the rules...

Would we consider Jesus Christ To pastor our church? Your input sought please. But as we ponder this thought, please sit back a spell and look at the church today. Today's church? The prosperity Gospel groups, or as I like to refer to them: The End Times church? No, they'd never approve of Jesus as their Pastor. Too narrow-minded and conservative. After all, only one way to Heaven? God forbid! Oh, wait, that's another one, they'd never agree that He's God... ;D "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" (2 Timothy 4:3)
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Timothy 3:5)

Who we kidding. The Lord would never make it thru the front door. He wouldn't be dressed right, keeps company with whores and other disreputables, is not exactly politically or religiously correct...they would just direct Him to the homeless mission down the street...
saying He might be more comfortable there among His own kind.
