Snoopy had her second from last treatment today . . . then two years of observation with cat scans and blood work. Now that she doesn't have any "visible" cancer, the nadir period is a little worse than before (low white blood cell count for about a week) - still has to deal with low energy from around 2pm on. But all in all, things are fine. I just wish that chemo treatments could be the same for everyone across the board - why some take to them and others do not is very sad. Yet we still know that everything is according to God's perfect plan and will for our lives.

Snoopy is recovering from her second round of chemo . . . blood counts are low so it causes her to melt during the day. My dad has pneumonia and in the hospital in Springfield.

Praying for these needs. Chemotherapy is so hard on ones system. Praying for strength and for healing of the pneumonia for your dad. Also lifting you up in prayer that God will give you strength in your body as well.

Just worried...Virgil has been so quiet. He tends to withdraw when he is really upset...noticed that over the years.

Praying for you Virgil...and for Aunt Snoopy and your Dad... Did the cancer come back again? She was in remission for about 10 months, then her tumor count starting to rise again. They ordered two more treatments mostly as a precaution. In a couple of weeks she'll have another blood test to see how her numbers are doing. The chemo really hits her white blood cells for weeks after the treatment. Her days start our reasonable chipper but by around 5 or 6 p.m., she is a different person. Appreciate your prayers for her and my dad. My dad has been living on 40% of his heart for a few years and has been told that there is nothing more than can do as his veins have become brittle and could not withstand any surgical repairs. So it is a matter of the Lord's time with him. |

Isn't it an awesome thing when as Christians we hear of a brother or sister with a need, that we don't have to know them personally to feel their need. We are Praying for Virgil, Aunt Snoopy and Dad. You have your plate full it sounds like in caring for your loved ones. I know it can get discouraging when you see people that you love sick and hurting and your hands are tied when it comes to helping them feel better. Lord we lift these needs up to you and we trust you to help in each situation.
Psalms 91:2 "I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust."

He is feeling better but probably should still be in hospital. Insurance dictates these things, not doctors. He hates the CPAC tubes, but he has to wear them for a while. Last time he just didn't. Yet, I hope that I'm as healthy as he is when I hit 84. |
