My mom was admitted to the hospital this morning with pneumonia. Been having problems the last few months which we thought was a bout of chronic bronchitis. Been to her family doctor twice who had her on only a cough expectorant. When she got up this morning she could hardly breath and was very fatigued. I got there and called an ambulance. Got her on oxygen and she began to feel better.
She may possibly be released tomorrow, but for now is receiving bed rest and mass doses of medication.
Will keep all informed...

Same thing happened to me about this same time last year. I can totally sympathise with your Mom. Going to definately have her in my prayers.

Thanks everyone. She had a good night and is scheduled for a breathing treatment this morning. She was looking forward to breakfast, so that's a good sign that her appetite's returning. The hospital has taken the opportunity to run a battery of tests, so she's getting a great physical out of all this. So far, praise the Lord, everything has come back great...

Thanks Vet. Saw her a while ago. She's receiving large doses of intravaneous antibiotics and is still on oxygen. She sounds so much better than she did last night. Her appetite's coming back well and she's eating good. It appears they're going to keep her through the weekend. Our Pastor's been there twice and the church sent a beautiful bouquet!

Glad your Mom is better!  Those anti-b's are something else. They can knock that peumonnizuxzzum right between the eyes in no time. Will keep on praying for your Mom. |

Thanks Vet. Like I told Drew in his topic, didn't even have a flake here...
Mom's much better today! All tests have returned fine. She's been checked from head to toe and stem to stern. ;D Heart is excellent and lungs returning to normal. She may get to return home tomorrow, not sure yet...

Keith we need a Mom report. How is your Mom doing? Have thought of her so often remembering my battle with Puemonia last year about this time.
Hope she is back up to running speed!

Just got her home from a post-hospital checkup. She's recovering nicely. It's just going to go slow getting her strength and stamina back...
