Recently, I have had many stressful situations in my life. I have talked about some of them. Hubby and I get our strength because we stand together, and because we lean on God. But that is not all: we have joy even through the tough times of life.
[glow=red,2,300]Nehemiah 8:10 Neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.[/glow]
Self-explanatory.
[glow=red,2,300]Psalm 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.[/glow]I like these verses, because I always like a party! What a great excuse for the right reason to party.
[glow=red,2,300]Isaiah 29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
We should always have joy and rejoice in the Lord, no matter what our physical circumstances.
Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
1Thessalonians 1:6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:
1Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?[/glow]This does not exactly fit into the idea of joy in the Lord, but I like it anyway.
Have joy in these difficult times. Our joy is not based on what our President is or is not doing, or what is happening financially. Have joy in the Lord!
