She's out and in recovery! Doctor said hardly any bleeding, and the way he placed the screws there should be hardly any pain...thank the Lord!

Just spoke with Mom on the phone: She wanted to know if I want to go to the park and climb trees?  She's groggy but still has her wit! |

Nita and I went to see Mom at the hospital and she's doing great! Rehab had her setting up for a while and she even ate lunch in her chair. Doctor believes she's doing well enough to be released back to the nursing home sometime tomorrow, and she's really looking forward to it. Even though she's in a private room at the hospital its not like trying to sleep in her room at the nursing home, where its much quieter.

Mom's back at the nursing home setting in her recliner in her room! Nita and I dropped off some clean clothes and reading material and brought home some dirty clothes to wash. She's comfortable, in a good mood and looking forward to a restful night of sleep.

She had morning and afternoon rehab sessions that both went very well. Lunch and dinner with some ladies she met, and a group of kids from church camp came by to sing for the residents. She had a great day and everything's going good!

Mom can return home anytime Saturday! Home Health Care will have someone there every day for a week or two till she gets her full strength back, just to help with meal prep, laundry, shopping and such.
