It's not just the big stuff that goes on in our lives that the Lord steps into and takes care of, sometimes it's the small stuff to which we should offer praise...
Mom went to the Doctor yesterday and had her ears cleaned. There was some minor bleeding, which was to be expected with this procedure. When she woke up this morning and put her hearing aid in she couldn't hear out of it even after adjusting the volume. She thought perhaps some blood had gotten inside it but upon inspection that wasn't the case. She contacted the Hearing Aid Center who told her to bring it by and they'd take a look at it, then called me to take her there after lunch as she didn't want to drive without being able to hear.
It's very frustrating for us both when she can't hear well, so after hanging up the phone I simply asked the Lord to intervene and restore her hearing. A short time later the phone rang and Mom said "The strangest thing just happened!" She was watching television while eating her lunch and all of a sudden something popped and she could hear!
I told her of my request to the Lord only a short time before, so we spent the next several minutes praising Him for His intercession. Mom called The Hearing Aid Center and cancelled her appointment, called me back and said, "Sometimes even small stuff for Him is big to us."
Thanks, Lord.
