On another MB, local hometown MB, in the Religion Forum a young man is asking some very good questions. We are trying to answer them...he has not yet commited to the Lord so we are trying very hard to introduce him to Jesus.
He asks the following...
"So, you are telling me God will judge both the saved and unsaved?"
Without going into a lengthy explanation how would you answer his question?

The saved are judged for their works for Jesus, which will produce rewards... The unsaved are judged for their works for themselves, which will produce condemnation.

Thanks Keith. The discussion has gotten really interesting. It is one thing to post on a MB with people spread out all over the globe who you don't know and will likely not meet in person.
It is quite another to post on a hometown MB where you know a great many of the people and see them often.

Ya know Babysteps, that is a question many of us have asked, especially when people we know commit suicide. In the Old Testament the only stories were of the unsaved taking their own lives but this is the age of Grace, New Testament times. Jesus is the dividing line of all times and Calvary and an empty tomb the place where it divides.
In the world today are great stresses and pressures...and ole Lucifer and his crowd are always prowling, seeking whom they may devour. They aren't looking for the unsaved because the unsaved are already theirs. They are looking to trip the saved.
That says to me some of those who take their own lives are saved who in terrible circumstances decided, with the devil's prompting, to end their lives. I don't think they lose their place in Heaven, but I do think they will lose rewards...for not trusting the Lord to see them thru their trials.
after all, who can separate us from Christ...nothing and no one can do that.
Amen?
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35,37-39

Great commentary Keith. I remember it and well.
A childhood friend, long about the time you wrote that, had just discovered he had terminal cancer and committed suicide to keep his family from having to go thru that and the expenses of it or so his note said.
I also remember what a comfort the Word brought to another brother who posts on another MB...a certain Arkansas Knight and first Kinght of the Duck Pond...First and Singing Knight and keeper of the funny bone...stander-upper for the down trodden...said he could never argue with the Word of God...
