Please lift my cousin's grandson up in prayer. He is 13 years old, and was involved in a dirt bike accident a little over a week ago. He was riding on a gravel road South of Mtn View, MO and was hit by a car traveling at a high rate of speed. He has a serious injury to his foot and has undergone 4 surgeries so far. However, in the repairs to his heel, the small vessels supplying blood flow to the heel are not getting adequate blood supply and the tissue is dying. So, today at 3pm, he is going to have his right foot amputated. Please lift Skylar, and his parents, Jeremy and Sarah up in prayer. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Sorry, I haven't had time to post much. Skylar's surgery went well. He has been sent home for things to heal. I talked to his Grandma Friday morning, she says he is doing well in his recovery; he cries at night, which is to be expected. He is a brave young man, he tells them," if I wake you up crying, don't worry about me I'm ok." It is a lot for a 13 year old to deal with , but with todays prosthetics, he will be able to live a pretty normal life.
Thanks for asking, and please continue to lift this young man up in prayer; he still has a long road ahead of him.

Let's remember to say a prayer for the people of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge,TN. My heart aches for those who have lost everything they own, in this massive fire. I know first hand how devastating losing everything can be. Also,pray for the firefighters and EMS workers for their safety.
