My Prayers today... am praying the Bible back to you Lord...
Lord you have said, "At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them." Jeremiah 18:7-9
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
Lord we pray, please forgive us our sins and send Revival to our country...
Watch over our new President and Vice-President...and God Bless America.
We ask in the name of Him You sent to save us, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
Amen.

I have continued to pray and ask the Lord to guide and protect our new President and vice-President and our country.
Am praying that the factions trying to agitate will settle down and let our new Administration get on with the work at hand.
Am hoping everyone else is also continuing to pray.

Amen, Duck; have been praying for our leaders. Your first post brought a scripture to mind that I pray for my family and seems appropriate here as well.
If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. (Exodus 34:9)

Good one Lori and stiff-necked sure does apply to our elected officials in Washington at present...
Glad you brought this prayer request up again...need to be reminded to pray for our government everyday.
But I fear my prayers are beginning to sound more like David's imprecatory Psalms...
