On the news last night they had a story about the civil war in the Sudan. It was about a little boy about the age of my grandson ...about 8 or 9.
He had wobbled into a refugee camp on legs that looked like two sticks and was dressed in rags...he was so sad. All he said was, "My parents are dead."
What the camp workers later found out was that he watched as rebels killed both of his parents.
I cried for that little boy and have been praying for him ever since...
What is going on in the Sudan is so tragic and sad...but what is happening to the children all over the world who are exposed to the hatred and violence ever increasing in this world is beyond words...
Please pray for that little boy...

Only one of many. Sadly, we haven't seen anything yet.

I can't get this little guy off my mind...an praying the Lord will take note of him special...my heart breaks for him.
Every time he closes his eyes he probably see his parents being murdered again...over and over. I pray the Lord will draw him close to Him and give him some peace.

Sometimes certain faces & stories really touch us deeply. That little boy has no idea some lady with a big heart who lives half-way around the world is praying for him. But some day he will know. It makes me wonder, sometimes, about who has prayed for me and I never knew
