Hello friends, I have a prayer request. Last Sunday night my cousin's 13 y.o. daughter Lillie was air evaced to Cox Hospital in Springfield, MO, with seizures. Monday morning they transferred her from Cox to Mercy, still in Springfield, to the pediatric neuro ICU. Mom and I went by the hospital while we were up there Monday, and she was on a ventilator in a drug induced coma. After some testing she was diagnosed with viral meningitis. We were able to see her and have prayer with her and her parents. By God's amazing grace, Tuesday 5/8, they were able to get her off of the vent and the following is an update from her dad today. Please lift this family up in prayer. God is faithful, and I believe that He can completely restore her to good health with no lasting complications. Thank you in advance for your prayers.
***UPDATE ON LILLIE *** FROM HER DAD. PLEASE KEEP THE PRAYERS COMING.
I am so thankful to all of you who have taken the time to drop me a personal note, kept my girl in your thoughts and said a prayer for her. I can say that Lillie is doing good. Compared to how she was doing when we got here she is fantastic. Now let me tell you how she really is. She is unable to move herself around her bed without help. She cannot stand. She needs help to keep her balance when sitting up in a chair. She hallucinates seeing spiders, snakes and caterpillars. She is not eating much. But is drinking more. I am glad everyone is keeping her in their thoughts. Thank you. Aunt Janet James and Uncle Thomas James for stopping in and visiting. Lillie loves her 'get well' balloon and the baby fox. Thank you! A special thanks goes to all who called me and prayed with me. Russel Jewell is one of the best neighbors that anyone could ask for. Thanks Russell. There is no way that I could possibly give credit to all who deserve it for keeping mine and Roxann's spirits up. Thank you all. I will try to keep you posted. John Eric.
