Am asking for prayers for the church I just left to go home to Beth Car.
Things I am hearing from there are not good. Seems the church is really split and many old members have left...I am so sorry to hear all that. Had hoped and prayed the differences could be worked out.
Please pray for the church, new pastor, and all the members...those who have left and those who remain.

Thanks Keith...I hear things are really rough... We have all been thru differences in our church. They are very unsettling.

Thankfully, nothing the Lord hasn't seen before.

Please pray for the church, new pastor, and all the members...those who have left and those who remain. So sorry to hear this, praying for the church, pastor , and parishoners. Hard on everybody. Sometimes though, I believe the Lord does a little "house cleaning" through things like this, so that He can accomplish what he is trying to do through the church. Still, it is hard to hear when you know folks are being hurt in the process.

Beth I don't really think it is that kind of housekeeping. I am one of the ones who left but left early on. Not up to the fight I saw coming. If things don't improve that church might die. Bad testimony.
I know the Lord has His plans...one of my problems is that my children are still there. Pastor is new to Christianity and this is his first church...he is in his mid 40s and independently wealthy...has a humility problem wider than a fat skunks stripe and twice as smelly. It's his way or the highway and I took the highway and went back to my home church. Several members from the old church followed.
Whole thing is a mess so best we just pray. Lord 'ill sort it all out.
Now ya wanna know what I really think?

Marilyn, I am so sorry to hear this we sat under a ministry like that when our church merged with another. Their pastoral staff and ours merged into their building. Our building was sold, property bought to build a new church. It didn't take long to see who was in charge and it wasn't the Lord. Same deal, their pastors did an about face after the merge, ours took another church out of state. No humility, very prideful and it was their way or the highway. We too left and went to another church. This is where our son started having problems with church. He played guitar on the worship team, ended up very hurt and it was downhill from there. Between church and colleges, it has been hard. The last I knew there was a lawsuit over the property and they have gone back to living under "some" not all, of the old testament law..many being led astray. I understand when your children are still there, it must be so hard for you. I will keep this matter in prayer. The Bible does say in Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall!" Hugs to you my friend, and prayers for this situation.
