On the news tonight was a segment about the weather. The commentator told of the dry weather and the fire hazards in the west and the wet weather and flooding in the east.
He talked about Seattle where it rains every other day and they have now gone 28 days straight with no rain and are having unseaonably hot temperatures.
He told of a hail storm in New Jersey earlier this week, and showed footage of the ground covered with several inches, people in shorts shoveling the hail like snow, and people building snowmen.
He showed footage of a storm that hit just south of me and did alot of damage to property. Thankfully no one was hurt or killed.
On another message board I was reading an interesting discussion . One side contends that the Lord doesn't use the weather as judgment or discipline today as He did in the OT.
Another group claimed that He does use weather as judgment and discipline today.
Still another group contended that the Lord uses the weather to get people's attention...trying to get them to repent.
Thought it would be interesting to see what ya'll think and what the Bible says.

The Lord uses weather for all three purposes: To get peoples attention, for judgment and for discipline. Let's look at only earthquakes...
To get peoples attention there was a quake at both the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus (Matthew 27:51 & 28:2),
For discipline, as is described as anger at His coming in Psalms 18:7, and
As judgment, as in Isaiah 29:6, which also mention thunderstorms, windstorms and raging fire.
Below is all my notes on earthquakes...
