Lost a good friend last night. Called him Motorcycle Dude. We co-facilitated drug groups for years and he was the best. He was a recovered cocaine addict.
He rode motorcycles and had a vintage Harley...was his favorite.
He was late one night to a drug group and the group members asked about him. I told them they would hear him long before they saw him and sho 'nough...
off in the distance they heard the roar of a motorcycle and they all went to the windows. My office was on the 3rd floor so they had a good view.
Ron got off his bike and took off his helmet...tossed it over his shoulder without looking and it landed on the handlebars...I thought, "man you've done that before."
From then on his legend preceded him and he was called "Motorcycle Dude."
I think heaven got a bit more noisy last night...Ride on Motorcycle Dude!
I don't hate...gotten too old to hate...but for cancer I make an exception...I hate cancer. Ain't too fond of MS either.
