My Sunday to lead the responsive reading and to offer the offering prayer...so this is what I prayed.
Father, please hear our prayer,
These things we know to be true,
Whom have we in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that we desire beside thee. Our flesh and our hearts faileth: but God is the strength of our hearts, and our portion for ever. Psalm 73:25-26
This is our prayer, as it says in the Bible-
"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
So we will give cheerfully and gladly-from our hearts and be thankful for the opportunity to advance the Kingdom's work.
