Alice Faye (Faulkner) Voyles was born September 27, 1942 in Shannon County, Missouri to Wesley Joseph Faulkner and Myrtle Irene (Reeves) Faulkner and departed this life August 20, 2018 at the age of 75. Alice was married to Richard David Voyles on May 28, 1960 at the Shannon County Courthouse. To this union two children were born, Bethany Alice and Richard Donald. Alice leaves behind one daughter, Bethany Alice Cowen and husband Gene of St. Peters, MO; and one son, Richard Donald Voyles of Rolla, MO; three grandchildren, Heather Overfield and husband Nathan of Hannibal, MO, Nathan Cowen and wife Marie of St. Louis, MO, and Tara Voyles of St. Peters, MO; one great granddaughter, Gwen Overfield; one sister, Wilma Luttrell and Troy of Yuma, AZ; three brothers, Wesley Faulkner and wife Cathy of Vichy, MO, Edward Faulkner and wife Shelby of Perryville, MO, Gerald Faulkner and wife Dianna of Eminence, MO; two sisters-in-law, Faye Nash and Judy Rightnowar and husband Don of Winona, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, Wesley and Irene Faulkner; one sister, Lillie May Gates; two brothers, Donald Ray Faulkner and James Lee Faulkner. Alice was well known in the area from different jobs that she held in her lifetime, the most notable, being Town & Country and as a teller at First National Bank in Mountain View. Alice loved to take drives in the country, garage sales, fishing and spending time with her family. She had many friends and enjoyed them all. She attended First Church of God in Mountain View and loved Pastor Robin and Nathan McCollough and her church family. Alice was well loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Yarber Mortuary in Mountain View with Pastors Dion Prewett and Stacey Prewett officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery next to her loving husband, Richard. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.

This passage was used in the funeral. It is our promise and hope. It has been a hard week. Trying to clean out the apartment. Going to have a sale this weekend. Keep us in your prayers.
