Ronnie and Bonnie are two Missionaries in Africa. Our Church is small but we help them out. Lord provides...Amen!
In Sunday School we have been studying Esther. The name of God, Heaven, Hell, salvation and prayer are never mentioned in that book...but Oh, the lessons about God do abound! The book is all about Him and providence...or as a favorite professor likes to call it, "The Hand of God in the glove of history."
To make a long story short and to brag on our Father, this is what happened and how I saw the lessons of Esther in action.
There is a group of about 80,000 people in Zimbabwe and a hard and fast rule. Can't go in the spread the Gospel without the permission of the "King" of that people group. Also can't get extra help because the Missions Group that field Ronnie and Bonnie won't send extra hands unless there are over 120,000 people in the group. Too many people, too few Missionaries.
They were looking for a hand cranked tape recorder so the could play tapes for the King and were looking for someone...anyone who could help them. They are already in Africa working in another place. They heard of a man who might be able to help so went to see him. They told him what they were looking for and he asked why, so they told him. Turns out he knows a man who is a good friend of the King...King is a Christian, English speaking, and is helping to translate the Bible into his language.
They contacted the other gentleman who is going to put them up and has arranged for them to speak to the King. King is very excited to meet them as he is trying to introduce his people to the Lord. All this happened in about a 24 hour span of time. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you...Amen!
When it seemed there wasn't a way the Lord showed the way! Amen! Hallejuah! WOOPEE!!!(my word)
They contacted us and want us to help...we are already going to work on it. They are coming in about 3 Sundays to ask the Church...we are already hard at it...
People say all kinds of things about our Good and Gracious Almighty God. They say He is dead, gone away, not speaking to us, not involved...doesn't exist.
I say He is guiding us and leading us all the way...and His work goes on thru us as He guides...
We are so excited to be able to help and so excited to hear Ronnie and Bonnie's story about the Hand of God in the Glove of History at work today!!!
Amen!
I wanted to share the good news about the Good News!
