What is the name of the man given in the OT generations in advance of his military victory? It is a prophecy.
The question was asked and it is one of those things I know but can't pull the name out of my dusty rusty brain.
Thanks for the help...

I hate when that happens and can't stop till I remember. I feel much better now and can go on thru the day smiling. The ole fowl hasn't lost it...just misplaced it for a few minutes...

;D Not so, but thanks. Not about the age thang, you are very close to right on that, only about 24 years off.
Believe it or not DB. The person who said he didn't think such a thing was in the OT was a preechur man...local and a liberal one. You know the one.
Nailed him and enjoyed it. Lord is gonna get me for it but my thing is that nobody reads the Bible any more...and the few who do sorely neglect the OT.
On top of that no one has ever written so beautifully and so eloquently as Isaiah. It is like reading beautiful poetry.

Nope. I pop up every once and a while. Some unbeliever is posting stuff that it is obvious he is copying and pasting from some atheist websites...several of his Bible references are wrong and I have been tempted to say something but have just watched. Preechur man is engaging him in debate but the other man's motives are obvious. Preechur man has not noticed the references are wrong. My debating days are long gone. Now it is just a spectator sport. But from what different people are posting it is very evident that the apostacy is in full swing and no one really reads the Bible anymore. It all plugs into two other threads posted today, Keith's thread about "God is too big" and the thread about the pastor being fired for praying in Jesus Name. It is all too depressing and I am very thankful tomorrow is Sunday, "I was glad when they said unto me..." I want to be where the Bible is taught and respected and among the brothers and sisters for a while. Recharge my batteries...

Amen. and when a lot of "reading" is done, there is actually very little reading....(think about that one for a bit)

There is a big difference between reading and studying. Besides today, and don't lets get started on the different versions...so many people are reading some different version. Pastor has actually asked in Bible Study, "what does your version say?" It is always like fingernails on a blackboard to me.
or when we get to a verse that some other version has omited...and someone says ,"my Bible doesn't say that."
I cringe and want to say...it used to. Man has seen fit to leave out what the Spirit gave us.

That is the way I feel quite a bit these days. People will actually read and then ignore every tiny little bit of what they have read.
