Happy New Year to everyone! I would be so grateful for your prayers for healing. I woke up Christmas morning with severe back pain and refused to go to the doctors hoping it would get better with some motrin and rest. Well, a week passed and the pain worsened to the point that my toes were numb and tingly and I could barely walk so yesterday I recluctantly went to my Dr. He did xrays and things aren't good. Looks as though the discs that I injured years ago in my lower back have continued to collapse and now the bones in the spine are starting to rest on each other . I'm in a back brace now and scheduled for an MRI to see just how bad things are and what the next step is. I'm on medrol and vicodin. Thanks in advance.....

Prayers going up for you Faith. Even Riley looked sad at the news. All she could say was "Ruff."
Now is a very good time to lean on the Lord...
Amen.

May our Father envelope you in His awesome love, and minister healing and restoration, that all infirmity and pain would be gone, and you would be healed and fully restored, in Jesus' name. We pray for wisdom for the caregivers, and that our Father would bless in every area of need and concern. In Jesus' name.
May this New Year be filled with blessing, joy, and peace.

Thanks Duck, Keifer and caretaker for your prayers!! One does not realize what a blessing good health is until it is gone. I really appreciate your support. I'm really tired these days but life is good with Our Lord.

Hey Keifer and Duck! MRI this week.....fun...yuck! Hope to know by the end of the week how bad things are. BAck brace is really helping to stabilize though. ......as I know the prayers are working....I feel much better the last couple days even though my drugs are tappering down to nothing by Sunday nite ......Thank you all for the prayers!!!!!! Side question....and to what keeps me going ...... Duck......our rescue is not having good luck finding the right fit.....Got any one who might want to adopt or foster a beautiful PB Yellow Labrador Retriever girl who is about 2 years old? She's very fragile emotionally....it's apparent someone wasn't very nice to her:( and now I am protective of her in finding her a great, loving new home.....I know I can trust you to place her in a safe one if she heads your way.... She is great with kids and dogs....just scared and needs her confidence and trust built back up. Let me know. As always, transport include Thanks!!

Sincerely wish I could take another one. I love labs and she sound special. I will ask around on my end and see what I can find. She sounds like she needs to be in a home where she is the "onliest" baby.
Keeping you in my prayers, and adding that lab baby, Marilyn

Keeping you in my prayers, and adding that lab baby, Marilyn Marilyn- gosh I was definitely not thinking of you taking another one. I figure you like to keep space open for fosters as space is always so hard to find with so many rescue dogs needing homes. I thought perhaps you might know someone who wants a labby and is gentle. I agree about the "onliest" baby...although she really bonded with her cell mate. I think she will be a quiet and mellow girl and if she were to go to a home with another dog it would be best if the other 4 legged sibling was also mellow. I think this beauty and gentle girl needs some TLC and she will make someone a wonderful companion. To see her eyes light up as I put her in the truck last week though.....ah.....wonderful.....she knew it was going to be okay!!!

I want to send her picture to my sister in Northern Va. How can I do that? You have to be logged in to see it at the other place.

can't do foster care...I take 'em, I keep 'em.
Learned that with a black lab named Gracie. Long story but the new family ended up bringing her back to me and with me she stayed...
I have never been able to take them in, work with them, and then give them up. Nope...can't do it.
but I "sho" can ask around in my neck of the woods and see what I can find...

Okay...so got the MRI done late yesterday afternoon and saw a new back specialist just a few hours ago. Part of the diagnosis is that I have lumbar spinal stenosis.....and my discs have collapsed in the lower region of my spine.....the bones in my spine have shifted out of alignment and it is all pinching my nerves causing numbness to my toes......there is very little room in the lower region for spinal fluid now.....Overall...not good news.
I am getting a corticosteroid sot right into my back this week to help the imflamation go down...and then start physical therapy and decide about back surgery. It'll be fine...I have faith!
