To God With Love By Arley Steinhour 061111
I know I’m getting older And my mind is fading fast With wrinkles getting bolder Forgetting memories long past.
Bad memories not wanted Some fun, some full of pain Were pulled from their mooring Never to return again.
A terribly turned event or two Stayed in my heart unvented I truly wanted to repent Removal they resented The cleansing took time longer Finding all the wrong I’d done Time just made me stronger Cleansing done, life is now more fun.
I came to you a sinner You took me as I was I found new life, a winner Salvation without pause.
Bless you, my dear Savior In my life, you planted much Cleaning dead salt from my behavior For you now, tis I who keep the Watch.
AMEN

Wedding Feast Anxiety By Arley Steinhour 061111
Two Thousand years she’s waited With patience wearing thin A Doctor of Love would have her sedated From the condition that she’s in.
You paid the price of marriage What seems so long ago Still no horse or carriage Her heart is sinking low
You promised you’d not tarry She expected quick results Tradition says you did marry Now she suffer strong insults.
Temper is getting somewhat frayed Bride’s friends are getting fat Everything is disarrayed, If we were tires, we’d be flat.
No one know the hour or day Your Father be the only one When it comes, He will say ‘It’s Time, get her, on the run.’
There’s a reason that I write today Tomorrow is Shavuot Traditional day of Snatching away On a horse, an a**, even a goat.
Stay clean, get hale and hearty Tomorrow might hear the phrase To enjoy The Wedding Party An Eternity of Loving Praise.
AMEN

Logicality Makes Three By Arley Steinhour 061111
Here is some logicality, Jesus is like a big Oak tree;
Giving shade and food to eat, Be we on a branch, or at his feet.
Knowing that the tree is there, Won’t get a person any where.
Once Born Again, by His Grace We gain a life, to see His face.
He is God, and God is He, With Holy Spirit, one and three.
To give our heart to the trinity, We’re Born Again Eternally.
Forever we will Praise our God and King, He’ll bestow on us, His every thing.
No harsh Sun beating down on us, No need to wait for the local bus;
Think a thought of were to go, Blink of eye, we’re there, you know?
The Grass will sing a lullaby, Flowers join in, that ain’t no lie;
The trees will sway in breeze like magic, Nothing happens that ere be tragic.
Eternal bliss is for those who surrender, Once they do He’s the eternal defender.
Don’t miss a chance to belong to Him, Preferring Hell, is an Unpardonable sin.
AMEN

Caution Reminder By Arley Steinhour 061311
Take no action in rebellion Into Prayer one must Repair When it’s time for God’s correction To support you, God need be there.
Those who call us ‘Haters’ Corrupted God right from the start Though they play the wounded Death and mayhem rules their heart.
An incidence of hatred Takes months or years to quell Wounds fester unabated Filled with Denizens from Hell.
They can corrupt the heart and mind In Thought, in Word, in Deed Till Holy Spirit be hard to find When there is a Godly need.
Holy Spirit doesn’t rest His help is always there Allowing us to achieve our best Resulting in answers blessed to share.
Only on an occasion of death May God choose to interfere Giving one an extra breath To strengthen and keep us here;
Sliding on our string of life Of which I’ve spoke before That makes us, yes, a better Wife When we enter Eternities Door.
So, send your Praises up to God For teaching all He lets us know That we be good, not know the Rod Once there, from here, below.
AMEN

Mountain of Travail By Arley Steinhour 061411
Before us stands a mountain With crag and valley steep and deep Waterfall a crashing fountain Even goats abandon the steep.
Mountain, like Travail of birth Progress worse with every breath The transit has no time for mirth With pain that could harbinger death.
Many turn and run away They have to taste for this Preferring price called ‘Easy Pay’ Over struggle for eternal bliss.
Those born again, the price will pay Oft-times with bruised and bloody knee Striving for that fate-filled day When Savior beckons and Him they see.
His simple smile will take away The scrape, the pain, the sorrow Eternity from then much better Without worry of tomorrow.
The joy of finding all there is in store That the mind could never envision Is found behind myriad of Heavens doors Enjoyment like a child, knows no derision.
So, throw out all your cares and woe Brush Spirit teeth, prepared to go He’ll come for Bride, with flair and show To Snatch away those who wait below.
AMEN

Three to Seven to a Tee By Arley Steinhour 061411
Seven is a number for this life of mine It seems to pop up seven almost every time Three years old, plus days forty-nine Pearl Harbor day, Japan put it on the line.
Day one was spent in Shock and Awe With tears and anger close behind Kids like me, too young to know all Scattered to where no one could find.
All I knew that fate filled day Was war was on, where people died Tears, and anger, what could I say Like finding out mom and dad had lied.
Life gained a new prospective Even I could know that much Peace and harmony much defective Belts tightened quite a bunch.
The next four years my age did double When it ended I’d learned a lot Four years of a world in trouble From a Hitler and Tow Joe plot.
The Army had a new Air Force But not too many a fighting plane What we had would stay the course Until production made them like rain.
North of town they built a base To teach the men to fly Young men all over the place Came to learn, and die.
Some officers had wife and family And had not a home for wife Grandpa started building lively Cabins in back for a cozy life.
A Railroad man working Twelve/Seven Then six hours building cabins ugly August 1942, five shiny bits of cabin-heaven Counting us, eleven families fitted snuggly.
There were no rental laws to stop us Or Grandma would have been in jail Doubled up or more, without a fuss Harmony presided, humor didn’t fail.
Saturdays were party time Grandma played accordion and sang BBQ or Hobo Stew suited all just fine All dancing, some singing, with a twang.
No one mentioned war up in the sky That seldom ever entered conversation Only Love, and words were allowed to fly We all knew we loved our nation.
Four years flew by, for a kid like me I’d lived over half my life in war And when it ended, no flyers to see Base closed, because war had gone too far.
McCook was like a ghost town Half the population gone away No one seemed to show a frown As the troops came home to stay.
All was done, we’d won both wars VE and VJ both finally came to be The weapon used, closed war’s doors No more, the world was now free.
I won’t address what happened With the years that followed that World wars never more to be my friend Just people killing battles called a cold war spat.
Today the consummation has us all in trouble As the world makes Tribulation history Unless God burns things up like stubble Where only His, can then live free.
AMEN

Fathers Day Prayer 2011 By Arley Steinhour 061811
Fathers Day, a day of ease Lounging beneath the tall Oak trees Dozing to song of birds and bees Humming along and slapping knees
Enjoying the feel of summer breeze The flowers abloom causing a sneeze Squirrel searching for nuts as it please Makes this man want to fall on my knees.
I offer to God this Fathers Day prayer Sending it softly to Him in the air Holy Spirit take it and send it to there There being Heaven, I know not where
Blessings received, more than my share Sharing His Love, to all that will care Worrying not about what I will wear Knowing God will bless more than is fair.
Enjoy, one and all, this Sabbath Rest Praising our God, we give it our best Jesus the Savior, none can contest Upon the Cross, He Aced my Test.
He is our All, our Pure Sabbath Rest Guiding and Teaching, to make us our best Our souls are safe, Satan cannot contest Jesus will say that we Aced our Test; Through Him AMEN
Mount of Olives, in the Frame, When Jesus sets foot upon, it'll have an whole new Name. Faith in Him, takes away our Shame.

Poetic Artistry By Arley Steinhour 061811
Like a vase painted on canvas face Word painting scripted, Poets do Descriptive words must fill the space To paint a shine upon a shoe.
The scenery is scripture bound Alphabetic tried and true Not a brush-stroke can be found A picture written word paints for you.
I was looking at some artistry Painted by brush and stroke Viewing bits of History Without a Poetic pencil stroke.
Too bad, I thought, Poets weren’t there With so little uttered by the crowd Ear left out from beauty there to share Something missing, like sky without a cloud.
Consider, ‘Beauty of the painted flower Shining bright with morning dew Warming the heart hour by hour To see what God means to you.’
Or, ‘Soft clean skin of babe new born Held close to parent’s breast Love flowing as from Cornucopic horn Showing life is at it’s best.’
Perhaps a river softly flowing Dark blue with touch of brown Or rapids white and angry frothing Warning dangerous rock abound.
The seeing and the hearing Together sings well to heart Enchants life with the pairing Never more to be apart.
Just like man and Jesus Being One, once together locked A One of many pieces Eternal One, with Satan blocked.
AMEN

The other day (6-15-11) was, what I called ‘Care for Old Folk’ day, a news article about reporting abuse. This is what I posted as a response: Old Folk By Arley Steinhour 061511
Treat Old folk with love Treat Old folk with care In a few short years You too will be there
Look to the Old Folks Rigored with wrinkle Longing for Love-rain So, give them a sprinkle
Care for the old folk For them be Oak branch They birthed and raised you So you'd have a chance.
AMEN

Father Praise By Arley Steinhour 061911
It is again that time of year When son or daughter bend the ear About the Father with no peer Not this, or any other year
Before you thank God for your Dad Remember the times that you were bad Sneaking off to do what made him sad At last growing out of that, then Fad
Some might say your Dad was cold Working hard and just getting old Never standing up as truly bold Living like a car, at least twice sold
To you I offer this kind word About the compliments you’ve not heard It is hard to see when eyes are blurred Or sing a praise with voice assured
Though men are tough, and ‘do not cry’ When you see a twinkle in his eye It’s a tear of joy, that just won’t fly Know his love and pride can never die
Some feel they have no father So, on this day why bother Forget not, our God the Father To Him, you’re son, and brother.
Praise Him. AMEN
On Fathers Day, for quite sound reason, I praise my children for this season, The memories of those precious years, easily brings this grown man to tears. Without my children, I’d miss much mortal love, To augment being filled with God above. I am content, in His Shalom.

Pre-Trib Deductulation By Arley Steinhour 062211
Why there is No Pre-Trib Rapture Words in Red, screamed from the page Like Iodine’s blue tincture Headline cries with staining rage
‘How dumb are those believers With head deep in the sand’ Spoken by Last Day word retrievers Who’s voice spreads across the land
‘Two Thousand years, stupidity Hear now the newfound Bible Word Or that ignorance will have eternity To wish you had the ears, and heard’
‘Where is the promise of his coming’ Second Peter Three, verse four Scoffers say with words condemning ‘Hear us well, or it’s out the door
Last days event said Peter, Keep the watch as they will come With lies that sound much sweeter Thinking Christians are truly Dumb
Sadly, they be almost right Laodicean thoughts prevail To some His Word is dark as night Those in His Truth need not be pail
Soon the day is coming when Truth will rule on Earth Just after Tribulation seven And Earth obtains New Birth
Holy Spirit will once again Fill the hearts of mortal men Separated through Tribulation So Beast could rule and cause a Din
Spirit filled Pre-Trib believers, too Will return, Oh Lord, with you Taken when Holy Spirit flew Your Born Again, Pre-Trib did too.
So now, just supposing Pre-Trib is but just a dream And all of those espousing Floats to the top as cream
I think I’m still a winner Even though they prove right My head’s not in a dither And I sleep real good at night
I know my Lord is watching Keeping track of me And I might just graduate With those Raptured of even Singly.
Should I be wrong I’ve been before I praise Him in song And seek a later score.
Can’t lose, only Win. AMEN

This morning, at 05:56AM I awoke to a sound louder and sharper than a .44 mag being fired next to my head. My eyes popped open, somewhat quickly, to see the interior of my bedroom, lit up like Sheckaina(sp?) Glory Light, a brilliant, white, dazzling light; similar to what some deduce the Rapture of the Church would be like to an unsaved person. Needless to say, I immediately was concerned, and spent some extra normal prayer-time with Jesus. That is the event that prompted what I offer in this praise poem, my rendition of my thoughts and emotions: Crack of Dawn By Arley Steinhour 062411
Crack of Lightning at Crack of Dawn Flash of light in Blink of Eye Brought me out of bed without a yawn Out the window is clear blue sky
My normal stretchy wake up My normal smack of lips More like spastic hick-up And launching of big ships
I fluttered over bed somewhere Wondering if Rapture did start my day Crashing back in panicked prayer Left Behind, Un-forgiven Stray
The crispness of the thunder sound Like a Magnum Forty-Four Searched my body like Lost and Found Finding no bloody gore
No way, I’d wake up slow and easy With panic forcing instant start Left Behind would make me feel sleazy I could die, with but a broken heart.
The panicked thoughts abounded strong How could this be today Snatching on this day unfounded Only recourse is to Pray
My heart cried out to supplicate My hands clasped tight in front What had I left undone of late To have Salvation fraught with want
It took a while to settle down The fear ran clean to the bone I should have a linen gown Praising You before the throne
I wasn’t gone but still in bed Eyes wide open from what I’d dreamed Upon my pillow was my head Nightmare over, or so it seemed
The warmness of your love for me Told me you are always there Shining from face for world to see Full of your Love beyond compare.
AMEN

Received as an e-mail in 2005, placed in Keeper file to sleep, until today, again Alive. Heavens Grocery Store By Author Unknown 2005/2011 (modified by Arley)
As I was walking down life's highway many years ago or more I came upon a sign that read Heavens Grocery Store
When I got a little closer the doors swung open wide Before I could control myself I was standing full inside
I saw a host of Angels They were standing everywhere One handed me a basket and said "My child, shop with care"
Everything a human needs was in that grocery store What you could not carry you could come back for more
First I got some Patience Love was in that same row Further down was Understanding you need that anywhere you go
I grabbed a box of Wisdom plus Faith, a bag or two And Charity of course I’d need some of that too
I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost It was all over the place Loaded Strength and Courage Then remembered I needed Grace
And then I chose Salvation Salvation was for free I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me
I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill I thought I had everything to do the Masters will
As I went up the aisle I saw Prayer and put that in Knowing when I stepped outside I’d run right into sin
Peace and Joy were plentiful the last things on the shelf Song and Praise were hanging near so I just helped myself
Then I said to the Angel "How much do I owe" He smiled and said "Just take them, everywhere you go"
Again I asked "No, Really, How much do I owe?" "My child" he said, "God paid your bill a long, long, time ago"
Out the door to Glory Feeling like I be a Boss Until someone called me “Don’t forget your Cross”
Funny thing about all that stuff The load was feather light I didn’t even need a bag Fit in my heart just right
AMEN
Nothing but GOD Stuff everywhere, means it's Good Stuff, we must share.

Independence Day Blues 2011 By Arley Steinhour 062911
I feel I see what you say you see The failure of our nation Only a heart filled with Jesus Should hold an honored station
The power of the office Corrupts the light within Just like acid, eats away Until life is naught but sin.
Election time does come around The choosing of another Off to office, but once within We’ve lost another brother
Two feet within the Gold-plated door There must hang a warning sign Counting down the mortal day’s Until it’s re-election time
All work that needs accomplishment Is so quickly set aside for fear The donation box will dry up If the right words they don’t hear
When money rings the counter At the top of donation boxes Special Interest seems to win For money speaks wilier than Fox’s
Mom and Dad have lost again To re-election financial woe Representative then gets nothing done Feeling they’re someone on the go
“Serve the People, then Step Aside” The sign would be better said Black Ink Country this will be Or stay away from Elected Bed.
Founding Father’s they did err not saying what should never need be said “This Land IS a Christian Nation” They all knew that Fact in heart and head.
Why Don’t We?? AMEN

Great Blessing on New Great By Arley Steinhour 070211
Four days ago A sweet young girl With a mortal cry Declared her independence
Six days before her country Celebrates it’s Two-Three -Five Nine full months was needed To enter her mortal life
Her mothers womb now vacant Sent all it’s love up to the heart To add great strength to family bond Of which the child now is a part
Her father proud and beaming Has a Daddies Little Girl To treasure as a diamond And show off as a Pearl
The home now has a new boss Who will grow up as if a queen Learning how to walk and talk Better than mom and dad have ever seen
Before mom and dad can blink their eyes She will be bringing home the man she loves And they will be starting a family Just like these new parent Turtle Doves.
The cycle of these happenings Though slow, will zip right by Bad days slow, so very slow The good faster than blink of eye.
Enjoy your new arrival Keep your marriage blazing hot So when she grows and leaves you You’ll never think she’s been a snot.
AMEN
I ask my Jesus bless this child, another Great she be, and bless her mom and dad as well, adding to the family tree. AMEN

happy independence day by arley steinhour 070311
Where is the celebration Where is the cracker’s bang Where is the rockets glaring Where is the cymbal clang?
This day of Independence Is a day of silent cheer Against the law to celebrate Or make a noise that some might hear
Protection is the by-word And Special Sales abound Fireworks is now on Special But the kind that makes no sound
We need not worry about Rapture Where Jesus comes up like a thief The neighborhoods so quiet Trees fear to drop a leaf
I’d go outside, and whoop it up Until High Sherriff came They’d look at me and drive on by Thinking I’m too old for noisy games
I used to shoot my rifle The old black powder kind But gave that up when the smoke stayed on Evidence that’d get me fined
So now I take my hankie out And blow my nose a time or two And hope you heard me mumble Happy Independence Day to all of you
AMEN
The Stars and Bars in the right place, so God can show His light, enhancing all the blessings to us, be it peace or all out fight. Pray, He doesn't take away our protection, for how we live our lives, folks.

Hugs of Love By Arley 061810 (revised 070411)
With Song's of Praise, Prayers of Love No one needs to push or shove Blessed through Jesus, from Above You fit our hearts just like a glove
We send our worship up to you so you will smile the whole day through That some day, Jesus comes for us With Royal Shout, and Trumpet true
The timing is the important part Perhaps today, or on the morrow Expectation all aglow Our wait for him can hold no sorrow
Smiling brightly, eyes aglow We search the skies for Him Bright as day, or dark as night Hearts feel bright with just a Hymn
Spread the word, that Jesus Loves He wants us one and all He doesn't want to leave one behind Yes He loves even those who Fall
So Keep the Watch, as He draws nigh No matter when it be behind white cloud, up in the sky He comes for you and me
AMEN
No one person can offer Freedom. It takes a Nation of Citizens to obtain, relish, and hold on to, with Faith in our God, and Strength in our People. AMEN 18,000 it took for this photo, 'back when...'

The Morning After By Arley Steinhour 070511
Another Independence day Another Free year complete Celebrating in our own way Not at a Dictator’s feet
Two hundred thirty five complete Day one, two thirty six Clouds hanging low to meet the street With problems Leadership won’t fix
We have another dozen days Before our credit is no more And all those countries on the dole Will lock us from their shore
I never ever understood Why we pay an enemy Or support a brotherhood That refuses to be Free
Another that we support Sells us oil at inflated price Supporting with that money Jihadist Anti-Christ’s
Thank God for Amendment Two We can defend Red White and Blue From they without, within, untrue Who’d take Freedom from me and you.
Put our God back upon the wall and doors, plus Statue Liberty Keep the watch for one and all Who actually be our enemy
With God the Father in our heart With Jesus front and back Holy Spirit shielding left side we’ll start Getting Freedom back on Track.
AMEN

High Mileage Praise By Arley Steinhour 070511
I wake up every morning At least I have so far Praising you a heart full As if I’d slept upon a star
I really must remember Take recorder off to bed So I can catch my morning praises Recorded before vacating head
I stretch and squirm Praise for quite a while Little else I want to do Till my heart puts on a smile
I ask you then for blessing In thought, in word, and deed Occasionally confessing Forgiveness is what I need
A dream I dream Or thought I thought Sinful as it might seem Perhaps damnation fraught
Of course I pray the food I eat You bless as bounty planned To serve my body as my meat I give thanks with up-stretched hand
Oh, I mumble and sometimes grumble With the aches and pains of age Needing my wit lest I stumble Before I start a new Life-page
So many thoughts I need record To develop into better praise So bless me like you do my Ford High mileaged but full of Mile-high Praise.
AMEN
My faith may not be a thing of beauty, with all the dot's and cross' made, but I know that it will make the trip, as Jesus my fare has paid. AMEN
