Sadly, so true. And dishonorable people seem to be America's heroes these days.
Yet, take heart . . . God is still on the throne!
“To him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. Righteousness tendeth to life. The righteous shall flourish as a branch" (Proverbs 11:18, 19, 28).

“His secret is with the righteous” (Proverbs 3:32).
Just so no one will misunderstand . . . it is important to note who the righteous are . . .
"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth" (Romans 10:3-4).
It is not those that have been dipped IN the waters of baptism, it is not those that are involved IN a particular church . . . No, it is those who are IN Christ.

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32).

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over” (Psalm 23:1, 5).

If there were such a thing as a top ten list of God's promises to believers . . . I'm pretty sure this would be on it!
“There is no want to them that fear him. They that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing” (Psalms 34:9, 10).
But then there are hundreds that would belong on that list! Praise God for His wonderful promises!

I think maybe that one would be at the top of the list...
or at least near it.

The world is shaking all around us, folks have lost confidence in their stability . . . yet, as Christians we are standing on the solid Rock of God's Word, with It's unshakeable promises!
“Godliness with contentment is great gain. Who giveth us richly all things to enjoy” (1Timothy 6:6, 17).

Brought this hymn to mind... My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name. On Christ the solid Rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand; All other ground is sinking sand. When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil. His oath, His covenant, His blood, Support me in the whelming flood. When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my Hope and Stay. When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh may I then in Him be found. Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne. www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/m/y/myhopeis.htm

WE HAVE PROMISES CONCERNING OUR FOOD . . .
“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed” (Psalm 37:3).
