So I'm logging in from the VA hospital. I've been here since Friday and had 2 minor heart attacks. Praise God that I was in the waiting room for an appointment when the first happened. And praise God that I have wonderful doctors and nurses taking care of me. This is the first time they have let me out of bed and off the floor. I'm getting ready to go attend the service in the chapel. Thank you Lord, You always take care of me and I'm so grateful to you.

Lord, please watch over my old friend and sister down in Florida...and her family.
In Jesus' Sweet Name! Amen.

So they let me out to take another little walk. The service this morning was wonderful. It's awe inspiring to sit in the chapel with these brave men and women. One young man was in a wheelchair and just wrapped in gauze from the neck down. His mother comes every day to be with him. He is just 24 and was in a terrible IED explosion. Please keep Anthony in your prayers. His faith is strong but his road is so very long. I realize how blessed I am and I just praise you God for Your goodness and Your grace. Thank you all for your prayers. I feel stronger today and really hope that the stress test goes well tomorrow so that I can go home. I'll have a few more meds and some new restrictions and please pray that God will give both Brian and me the strength because after 40 years I'm giving up the cigarettes. For any of you who have smoked you know how hard it is. But I am determined. I've always said it was the only vice I have left and I wouldn't quit but I really think it's time. I love you all if I haven't said that lately. I'm reminded again of how blessed I am to have all of you in my life.

Sylvia...it took me a bad case of puemonia, a hospital stay, and being tethered to an oxygen tank for a few days, but I quit about 6 years ago...
Makes a big difference...and I am not going to start again...
Will be praying for you...

Yes Sylvia, quit...quit immediately. Nita and I stopped simultaneously many years ago...cold turkey...no help but from the Lord, so we know it can be done. You'll feel so much better.

Forgot to add Sylvia...all that phemunoia and mess was the answer to a prayer. I asked the Lord to help me quit...and He most certainly did.
I can hear my grandfather saying now..."be careful what you pray for...you just might get it." I did, it was a hard lesson, but I won't forget it.
Thank you Lord...

Perchance God, knowing Idysly was about to have an Heart-attack, the appointment available was led to coincide with the heart problem?? Short story: I was at the VA Hospital, to see about a problem, when a guy got belligerent, and hit a Nurse. I responded. When over, the PA took my Blood O2, and wanted to know why I was not on O2, as mine had crashed. yadda yadda. Right place, right time, out of the blue, I'm still talking to you. Yeee-Haaa!!! and AMEN, we're going home soon, just don't quite know when. PS: It was also at the VA, another day, God allowed me to watch a man die, leave his body, and pass through the ceiling...beautiful man, beautifully dressed, leaving an old, fat, ugly man, in the bed, behind. God is an Awesome God

Thank you all so much. I'm finally home, really exhausted but so happy to be home. And yes navy I truly believe that God put me there at that time because by the time 5 minutes had gone by they had me in the ER with an IV going and meds going in. And then the second one hit Saturday morning, if I hadn't already been in the hospital who knows what would have happened. God is always good and I praise Him for protecting me as He has always done. Keith and Marilyn, not only am I quitting but so is Brian and Micheal. I had always told Micheal, I've smoked for 40 years and I'll quit if you will. So he called me Saturday night and said "Ok Mom I'm quitting and I'm not about to lose you so you're quitting with me". And I told him "You're absolutely right I'm quitting with you". So it's a family affair and once we are all successful I'm hoping Tiffany will quit too. For now I'm supposed to be just taking it easy and I have to be back at the doctor's on Friday for the rest of the test results. We may have to do a stent but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. For now I'm enjoying being home.

I am so happy that you are home! I will be praying for you and the smoking thing...you can do it. One of the things that helped me was being afraid I would have just lit a cigarette and the Trumpet would sound calling us home...it would not be good to meet Jesus with a cigarette stuck in my mouth... maintain that image...might help.
