Nita's mom Stella has been admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure. Upon examination, her aortic valve is not firing properly. As many of you know she has been confined to a wheel-chair for many years which has left her extremely weakened, therefore she's not a candidate for surgery.
The family is here except for one son who's enroute from Texas. I ask for our brothers and sisters prayers for Stella and the family...

"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;"(JAMES 5:15)
As the 'uneasiness' of these situations sets in, let the Lord knit our hearts together in prayer for Stella and the family. His peace passes all understanding! We're praying for the Lord's will brother!!!

Thanks Marilyn. We have a good update this evening: The fluid around her heart is disappating, she has regained some strength and is hungry. A heart specialist from Springfield has seen her and said if they can get her strengthened more he can do the surgery to repair the valve.
Our Pastor stopped by this afternoon but she was sleeping, so he and Nita's brother Brad had prayer for her at her bedside. Nita just left to spend the night there. We're fortunate that she's in a private room with a nice recliner, so Nita, Brad and their sister Lisa are taking turns staying over.
Will keep all posted...

It's not a good report today. Stella declined greatly throughout the day and evening yesterday and is drifting in and out of conciousness. We appreciate your continued prayers...

Thanks brothers Lawrence and Steve. Your prayers are appreciated as well...
As of last evening, Stella had developed carbon dioxide poisoning due to the massive amounts of oxygen she's been on. Also, the fluid around her heart isn't leaving as it should, so the doctors are attacking both problems vigorously...
Nita left for the hospital a little while ago so I don't have an update for this morning. Will advise as soon as I do...

Nita and her brother Rick just returned and the news is not good. There's nothing the doctors can do, as her condition is too advanced. They're making her comfortable and given her twenty-four hours. All the family is here and our Pastor has been contacted.
This came on so suddenly, and was so unexpected that it's very hard to deal with, though I know the Lord will provide strength and comfort as it's needed. Please continue to keep us in prayer. I doubt that I'll post anymore until I have another update tomorrow.
Thanks everyone...

Just remember that Doctors can give up, us and our Lord don't. He always knows whats best for us...even though it may hurt. This earth isn't our permanent home...got a better one awaiting!!

Hello all,
Nita's mom passed away at 7:30 p.m. local time last evening. It was peaceful with all her children gathered around her.
We're having severe thunderstorms here today and they're forecast through Wednesday, so I doubt I'll have the computer on for a couple of days.
Thanks again for all the prayers...
