One of your church folk told me about the meeting and how much he liked his preaching, I asked the lad if he knew you and all he could say was "WHO!" I pressed him a little and wondered why he did not know his own church folk..... I've been doing ok physically. Got a lot of wood to get up and bust up for the winter ( by the way, where is that global warming? ) Been in somewhat of a struggle lately, and would appreciate your, and DI's family's prayers . One item of advice that gets left off when talking to men who feel led to pursue the ministry.... " Learn when and how to properly administer binkies, change diapers, fix bottles, and burp professing believers who claim to have "grown" in the Lord" ( DB , October 30th 2008) Also to note.. Many Seminaries and Bible colleges fail to offer courses in Babysitting101, they should... well... let me quit. ( none of the above is meant for harm or ill intent towards genuinley born again believers who are young/babes in Christ - but IS meant for those who claim to have been saved for a long time, yet act like 2 year old chaps!)

DB, DB, hmmm, that name sounds familar...do I know you? ;D Glad to see you back brother! Absolutely yes, you've got our prayers. May the Lord strengthen you for His service and any chores at hand, in Jesus' Name, amen!
Here's a trick my neighbor uses on his kids: 'Duck' tape them to a mirror so they have someone to play with. ;D Seems like that'd only work when they're small. That 'duck' tape's pretty strong though! ;D

Would it help if the pastor could conduct an in-depth seminar on "fruit-inspection", and for graduation each was given a mirror?
God bless your heart for Christ and walk of faith Bro.

"duck tape' eh? how about "duck tales", oh well.... Thank you all for praying for me and the ministry. The Lord has intervened. I have been knowing that something was hindering, just could not put my finger on it ( the preacher is always the last to know and first to blame - most of the time) I have got another BIG praise report coming.. sometime... When I settle down I might get to it, it will be a blessing.. Praise the Lord for His goodness and concern for HIS church! again thanks for the prayers Brethren.... and Duck. Db

Good to see ya' Syl! Get lost? ;D No, just 14 hour days and crazy times. Seems like everyone wants a piece of me right now. I've been traveling for work but at least now that's been curtailed due to the economy. We've got lay offs going on and we let all of our temp. folks go. So........all the work falls on everyone else. Seems like all I do is get home and fall into bed, get up before dawn and do it again. Since the cuts aren't finished all we can do is keep working harder and harder and hope that we are one of the lucky ones that retain their jobs. I need the solice I find here and I need my brothers and sisters. I've missed ya'll so............ So if I leave a post kind of unfinished it may just be that I fell asleep over the keyboard. ;D

Well... I am sorry for the delay folks ( and Duck ), but soon as I typed what I did above the advesary went into overdrive. Anyway.. I had been 'sensing' that the work of the Lord was being hindered from what i have seen in the last year. I was/am gravely concerned that there have been so few saved recently and such coldness creeping in. I asked the Lord to reveal whatever it was , no matter what or who was involved, so we could deal with it and move on for the glory of God. Well He did reveal it and what a wallop!! I was approached one Wed. night with news of a servant in the church that had a bad habit that was dishonoring to the Lord , his testimony, and damaging his health. This had been hid for quite sometime. I asked the Lord for direction and the right words so that when the confrontation was made I could go in the power of the Holy Ghost and try to gain my brother. The Lord intervened and the circumstance was confessed to me, my requests for removal were met agreeably ( is that spelled right? or is it even a word?), forgiveness was given. The following Sunday morning he got up in front of his church family told the congregation what was up and gave himself to the church. After a motion was made and the church voted on a diciplinary matter - I asked the church what was it's desire as far as forgiveness was concerned. A dear brother in Christ, in tears, stood up and forgave him -- that was the beginning... The whole church burst into tears and ran to hug and show their love for the brother. That night, after the message, a dear sister burst out n conviction to the church and myself that she too was involved in practicing a habit that was sinful and dishonoring to the Lord, she too served the church, she also asked the church for forgiveness, before she could quit talking , another dear brother to my left stood up blubbering , through tears, admitted he too had been dealt with by the Holy Spirit, confessed to his church, and asked for forgiveness for doing something that brought reproach to our Saviour. I grabbed the floor, I have never seen such a manifestation of the Holy Spirit in genuine conviction of sin, confession, forgiveness, and love. Well, the place went to pieces ( in a good way). There were young believers there who had turned 5 shades of white, seasoned saints who had gone to snubbing uncontrollably, tears were flying, folks were shoutin' and praising the Lord, I ran to the piano sang "Little Is Much When God In It", for the next 30 - 45 minutes there was an atmosphere I had not been in since I have been saved. 3 precious believers made things right with the Lord and their brethren that night, there was a feeling of freedom once again. In the midst of all that was going on, there had been a family that was visiting, who was searching for a church home. I noticed the fella was walking back and forth in his place, lifting his Bible, I asked him if everything was okay. He was in tears as well, he shouted out to the church " I want my family to be a part of this ministry!!" He was brought forward, and having already saved and scripturally baptized, was voted in ... so the rejoicing got to going again!! The church still has some healing to do, and just last night the devil launched another attack that affected several of those family members that were involved in the tansgression. I know that the Lord has something great in store for our ministry cause the devil is about to blow a head gasket... So having said that I continue to ask for the prayers of the DI family. Much is at stake, but I have decided that I am going to keep on preaching the Bible come what may, souls are at stake, time is drawing short to work for the Lord on this side of eternity! I have no idea where the next fiery dart will hit, but we will press on toward the mark..... so help us Lord. I thank you for the prayers of the past, and I'll thank you for the prayers of tomorrow. I do not know when I'll get another chance to get back on here, but I will soon the Lord willing. Thank you all so much for your interest in what the Lord is doing in a little town in VA!!! DB.

DB So how wonderful is that? !! What tremendous power our God has and what wonderful things He can do when we only allow it. Thank you so much for a wonderful lift that I truly needed. Your little church blesses far outside it's walls. Continuing in prayer for your church and your family.

I'm near speechless brother DB. What an awesome move of the Spirit in those folks, to bring such conviction. He's hard at work in your ministry.
Don't be surprised though at the lack new salvations taking place. They're going to be fewer and fewer as His appearing nears:
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come...evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." (2 Timothy 3:1 & 13)
Notice "worse and worse", not less and less. I know you want revival dear brother, but it will not come till Tribulation:
"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands...These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." (Revelation 7:9 &14)
But knowing this should not diminish our efforts. for there is still fruitful work to do:
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Bless you DB, and may He continue to guide you and continue His presence within your church.

Amen!!!!!!
Psalm 148: 1: Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2: Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 3: Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4: Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5: Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6: He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. 7: Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: 8: Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: 9: Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: 10: Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: 11: Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: 12: Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: 13: Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. 14: He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

Thanks for all the prayers!!!
The Lord is good to us , Amen? Yes He is!
As most all of you know, when the Lord moves among His church, and the born again really do buisness with the Lord, the advesary tries to pick up every wrench he can find and toss it into the gear box. It is to be expected and anticipated.
The ripples have not settled, however come what may we have already won!!!!
Think on that for just a moment --- we have already won, through our precious Lord Jesus Christ.
I had planned on writing a bit... but I believe I will rejoice for a while on that truth --- I and all of the redeemed have already won, because of what Jesus Christ has promised!!
Halleluyer!!! what a Saviour we SHARE!!!!!
