I never posted on our hometown board. When it first began I watched for awhile to see the direction it was going to take. It wasn't a good direction, so I never went back. Everyone I saw posting was complaining and arguing, not wanting to reason on any subject that was brought up. I'd have been wasting my time.

I have to agree with you, Keith. I go read there...sometimes good things are posted...in the trading post section.
But mostly there is just arguing and the liberals are present in force. Most conservative like me just go read...don't post.
Just every once and a while it just gets my Irish up and even after all these years of knowing it does no good...I jump in the fight...
but have now jumped out again...

It isn't worth the effort . . . besides, if you make too much sense for their liberal sensitivities, they just ban you anyway.
They have learned that nothing wins an argument faster than just locking out the conservatives.

Most of the time they are asking the same questions and when we answer they pull out the same old tirade...we hate and are intolerant...
so it is useless to even answer and I really can't tell you why I did this time except my temper...
the question had to do with homosexuality...of course...

Just read "Implosion" by Rosenberg...and am studying Judges. Teaching it in SS so figured it would be very good to study it...so I am.
And have learned alot from the Israelis about apostacy. There are 7 of them in Judges...
Israel tho not a nation yet...would serve God for a while during this period in their history...then they would depart and do evil...or do what they saw as right in their own minds...
God would bring judgment on them in the form of oppressing nations...they would cry out to God and God would raise up a Judge...
In the end tho...after this period in history...way down the road after Kings David and Solomon...and the split of I srael into 2 nations...and the warnings of several Prophets sent by God...
Lord sent a final judgment from which Israel has never reunited and Judah only after a long long time...
Anyway...here is what I have learned. This is how a nation goes down...
First there is religious apostacy, next comes moral decay, then political anarchy...
First the churches, then the home, and then the state... This is the way a nation falls.
The parallels are stark!

Friend...Pastor down in Roxborro, NC posted this to FB...thought it was very good so put it here.
"The people who say, "Jesus was not a Republican" seem to forget that He wasn't a Democrat either. As a matter of fact, He didn't run, can't be impeached, won't abdicate and the only elections He loves are those of the Saints He's calling into salvation. The only party Jesus loves is the one the angels throw when a sinner repents. He is Lord of Lords. He is King of Kings. No president rules over Him. No emperor can usurp His Kingdom. There's none like Him, and, one day, EVERY tongue, weak or powerful, saint or sinner, rebel or worshipper, WILL CONFESS JESUS! Yes, Jesus is NOT a Republican, and Jesus is not a Democrat. HE IS KING!" Tim Bowes 08-26-12

Hello you wonderful old cave...
Have thought so often about Heaven and what it will be like. This morning studying for the SS lesson this Sunday this occured to me. I am a pilgrim just passing thru this life on my way to a place I have never been...only have a vague idea of what it will be like but am longing to go there. At the same time I have some reservations...I have never been there...only know this life...
Thought about the first time I walked into Danview...the home I have been so blessed with in this life. I didn't know what kind of house would be home to me till I walked thru the front door of Danview...It felt like home...felt as if Danview was just there waiting for me to come home.
I expect that is what Heaven will be like...when I get there I feel like I have come home, to my forever home, not a pilgrim any more and will know the moment I see Jesus...
I'm home...

I love to think about Heaven. I know that I don't really know, and cannot comprehend, what Heaven is really like; but I know Jesus is there, and that is enough. Oh, and I love to dream about what Jesus has made for me (This is Jesus speaking, by the way):
(John 14:2) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. " 1 Corinthians 13:12
